Heading for Petawawa today from Kanata. Looks like it will be a nice day for the drive :D
Probably no run in the picture but if I'm back in time I may go over to the nearby theatre and see Run Fat Boy Run...does that count? :D

Wednesday!...half way there :D

Wednesday, best day of the week

For me I have an 8K - hopefully I can make it today :? . Yesterday I had an 8K scheduled but unfortunately had my first experience with runners trots - ohhhhh so not fun  :help: I was just thrilled to make it home in time, all I could think of was "yeah, alright, of course, 'cause I'm wearing new tights...right". Then I remembered I had cabbage for lunch (I love homemade coleslaw).............what the he** was I thinking

Happy hump day all :D

11.5km this morning. Everything still hurts in all places and zero energy. Perfect recovery run. Nope not looking for miracles, just par for the course. Likely take the next two days off and then see how things feel again on Saturday. I'm in no rush, I've made that mistake before.

Have a Hump'rific Day.

I will run today. And hopefully spin/swim too. I need a training plan...am beginning to realize you can't 'wing' a half-ironman. Who knew?

For the second day in a row I tried to run but can't. My ribs on the right side were evidently bruised in the fall on Sunday and hurt like hell during even a slow jog. Damn! And I'm finally inspired to get back at it. Guess it'll have to be aerobic-hockey-watching instead.

8K for me today, supposed to be a tempo run... yeah, right. Like I could sustain a tempo run for that long! I'll give it a try though...see if I can't pick up my pace a bit. I seem to have two speeds, ON and OFF...and I'm starting to feel I need to rectify that.

If I ever want to have better times...or just not be in the last 5 coming accross the mats, I have to try to get a bit faster.

Also, today is anti-procrastination day...meaning all that housework that I've been saying I'd do for the past week...has to get started and at least half done today!!

So...I have to reward myself with 15 minute incriments of RM for every 45 mins of housework done...or I'll fall into the same trap of just surfing RM all day like I've done the last three or four days.

Have a wild Wednesday, y'all!

Tempo run done last night, ~9k at 5min pace. I tried to get up to max HR towards then end before my cool down (I know, not the point of tempo but I was curious). My theoretical MHR is between 176 and 180 depending on the calculation method used; I ran at 100% effort for about 2 minutes after 40 minutes at tempo pace and I got up to 171 before I had to slow down, I was getting ready to barf. :?

This morning I completed my intervals in the pool, 2500m in 50 minutes. Tonight is an intervals set on the bike for an hour.

Have a great day y'all.

Good Morning!

10K this morning in just under 57 minutes. Looking to break the 55 min at the Sporting Life 10K this weekend, but I'll be happy with anything under an hour.

Jacqui. Run Fat Boy Run is cute, but you have to suspend any running and training knowledge you have. Just let it go, and laugh :D

Have a great day all!

Safe Travels Bman & Stella!!! You two will do awesome in St. Croix. We'll see you when you get back. Can't wait to read your Race Reports and hear all about it.

I'm going to attempt the Fitness Class today at lunch and hopefully, I'll be able to run tomorrow if I don't push myself too much. I was up to 105.4 lbs this morning so I'm on my way to a full recovery and gettin' back at it. Yippeeee!

Keep smilin' everyone,

Oh yea... my little anecdote for the day... I have really been stressing about not having taken the bikes in for a tune up (which they desperately need)... I know I'll have a long wait after waiting so long.

So my nightmare last night. Finally took them in only to be told it will cost me $900 to have them tuned up... Guess who woke up bug eyed... omg...

Maybe I'll be riding by July.

Um, let's see you just ran 10k under an hour, so THAT won't be an issue, Sub-55:00 easy. You can take two minutes off just for race adrenalin, so I predict a 54:20. Now go do it :)

Good luck BMan and Stella!!! (love my new kit!)

Speed work last night at the arboretum with Rick almost killed me.

3km wu, 6 accelerations (100m), 6x1km on 1:00 rest faster than 5km race pace. then 5 hills and a 2km cd.

My legs are sore.

50km ride tonight.
