Hello!

Postby max2004 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 11:37 am

Hello! I just sort of stumbled upon this website and joined quickly. Seems like a great place for people who like to talk about running, but see people's eyes glaze over when you start talking about it, especially co-workers. They just don't get it!

I am a grandmother of 3, been running 24 years. I have run 4 marathons (slowly) and numerous other halfs and 10k's. I may be slow, however I am in it for the long haul! I have a gym at work, for which I am so grateful especially in the winter. But I do love to run outside, the TM is tough some days...boring... but it is all about the run, right?

I look forward to logging in everyday and seeing what is going on in other runner's heads!

That we are :D Welcome here

Congrats on your 4 marathons! It doesn't matter the speed at which you did them, you still ran the full 26.2 miles!

Welcome from a fellow Calgarian.

What part of Calgary are you in? I'm in McKenzie Lake myself.

Hi fellow Calgarian...I live in Shawnessy. In the summer I like to run through Fish Creek. It makes me feel like I am somewhere far away from the city. It gets rather busy, but on days that are cooler (which are days when I love to run) it's not so bad.

They have changed the date of the Calgary marathon. I think I will try to run it in 2009 and then run Okanogan in October. That is my plan anyway. I hope I acheive it.

Anyone else going to run it?
