Have not run since last week... seem to have some type of flu. And no, it's not post Vegas recovery ...

Hopefully by tomorrow I'll feel a bit more normal again.

So another pretty great day yesterday.

I had the second meeting with the world's most amazing boss. The job is mine and he is even more awesome than before.

Everyone at the company has a title of Chief (something) Officer. Because he sees me as a passionate person, he has dubbed me Chief Passion Officer.

Dani Diamond CPO at your service.

Then, I thought I would create my own great thing to finish the day and I called my internal specialist to have them tell me I am healthy as a horse and the whole thing is n my head. Unfortunately, the doctor was out all last week. Oh well. She can tell me I am perfect on Friday. I can wait.

I am totally running at lunch today. I think I'll be worked up from giving current boss notice. I hate this part...

I actually had time last night to bring a couple of my babies to the Garage and pump of the tires ...  Been a while since I heard that sound .. :P

Hope you're feeling better soon Marg - it's especially not fun being sick in the summer.

Dani - sounds like you should go buy a lottery ticket or ten.

This morning was a tempo run - always fun the day after another hard workout: a total of 30 minutes of tempo running broken up with some easy running in there as well. A bit over 17k total including w/u & c/d.

As always, it was really hard to get myself up to tempo pace for the first 6 or 7 minutes - felt like I was going really hard, but still not hitting the pace I wanted. Then it seemed to click and I had the pace.

Tomorrow's easy - yay!

Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!

Same here (but for different reasons  ).

Dani, you're just a wealth of cool and exciting news today, aren't you!! So glad to hear it!

I am still on "European time" so I've been awake since about 4AM (got up around 5:30) and to the office by 7AM. This will come back to haunt me later this evening.

Runpub tonight. I will try to run for an hour. Let's see what effect five rest days in a row will have!

8km this morning. Left thigh is hurting so I might go in for a massage or chiropractic appointment. Will do another 8km tonight and have a soccer game. Hope it doesn't rain to much.

Get well soon Marg
Good news all around Dani :D
Welcome home La :D

4km run in Rock Creek Park, DC, this morning - before the humidity gets up there. My Garmin says the first km took me over 9 minutes  I honestly don't see how that can be right. Whatever - I was out there.

Meetings all day again today and the last of my presentations this aft. Yesterday I skipped out an hour early :silenced: hopped on a double decker bus and toured the city :D

Have a good day everyone :D

I was thinking of running the 10k tempo with my clinic tonight, but after I was on the bus to work, I realized I packed everything but one vital piece of gear, so no run with the clinic. Likely good for me to take this extra break for the foot's sake. I'll get into the marathon training more wholeheartedly next week.

A short workday for me! PSE BBQ at noon and then I will head to the trails to burn off the calories.

I'm loving the sunshine but feeling really tired from my recent increase in exercise.....it's a good tired though.

Enjoy the day all. :D

Extended run commute into work - 81 minutes. Ran into LadyJ on my way! Tonight, I'm coaching a spinning-double - four hours! Will ride for at least some of that time.

Some sort of 5K run to do today. Just deciding where to do it and when. I have a couple of errands to do today and I have to find a place to fit it all in. Ugggh.

Have a great day everyone! :D

Just an easy swim today at lunch, good thing too as I am a wee bit tired from fighting the wind on the bike lastnight.

Shift at the RR tongiht, if I can stay awake that long!

Have a great day everyone,
