Who's running PEC this year???

Postby Jo-Jo » Fri Sep 25, 2009 11:54 am

Hula Girl is planning to go and cheer and wants to know who I should be keeping an eye out for...

So far I think Nick (Half) Orleansrunner (Full) and Mr. CinC (Full)

Anyone else?

Hey lady, I need to know what your itinerary looks like. There has got to be a way to see you before you return to AB. I'll be returning from the Toad, maybe I can pit stop in Picton...?

Drive up Sunday morning and Jello Butt can join Hula Girl on Main Street. Sounds like a title for a new movie....

Hey, I'm glad to have dropped by and seen this thread! Yes, Mr JB (a.k.a. Ed) and I are doing the marathon. It will be fun to meet some new Maniacs there and also see familiar faces. Jo-Jo, as I recall, Kingston this year was too cold for Hula Girl to make an appearance but perhaps it will be different in Picton! Of course, I prefer cool and cloudy conditions, so we'll have to see whose sacrifices to the Weather Gods find more favour ;)

Hula Girl couldn't appear this year at the Kingston HalfM because her alter Jo-Jo was volunteering at a water station. Hula Girl is a cheerleader and takes this job very seriously and therefore does not volunteer at Aide stations (K-Town Tri being the one exception)
Hula Girl is very innovative...and so come rain or shine...or cold she will be at PEC :D :D

Just plain old running this time.

So, what exactly does Hula Girl do? Now I'm curious.

Joggler...Hula Girl is a professional cheerleader...she emerged at the Brockville Tri in 2005 and has been cheering for athletes every since. She tries to get out to about 4 or 5 races a season. She takes her job very seriously...and a profile of her was included in the summer edition of iRun magazine :D :D

I see! :) Well, I will definitely be looking for you as we hit the final stretches! Those hills near the end are going to be challenging so it will be nice to have some encouragement to keep going to the finish line.
