Fans, family, and friends can still track their runner directly through their web browser with the Race Day Tracker, launching at 8:00 a.m. on Nov 1.

I expect there will be a link on the above page at 8am or shortly afterwards.

Edit: it's 7:39 Eastern Standard Time now.

Mr JLA is running, too. If it's anything like it is here, it would be perfect marathon weather.

Watching on-line now:

http://www.universalsports.com/mediaPla ... m_id=23000

Elite women just started at 9:10. The elite men don't start for another half hour, and then at 10:00 the wave starts for the rest...

First wave goes off at 9:40 with elite men, second wave 10:00, third at 10:20.
next up:

This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day

Elite women don't count? :) (already running)

(I think technically the "first wave" is 10:00-- the elites don't wave)

How many waves will there be, and at what times?
Wave 1 will begin at 9:40 a.m., followed by wave 2 at 10:00 a.m., and then wave 3 at 10:20 a.m.
http://www.ingnycmarathon.org/entrantinfo/wave_start.htm

Elite men start at the front of wave one of us mortals.

OK, I stand corrected. :)

The first wave includes the elite men plus thousands others... I thought they had their own start.

Bunch of Ottawa folks running, including several of my old running buddies (and several of Dave's RR buddies).
And Rick Hellard...through 10K in 37:10. Dave is at 26:12 for 5K and Mark at 44:39 for 10K. Now to go out & mulch up the leaves with my new lawnmower....
