Travelling Sunday!

Postby trixiee » Sun Mar 14, 2010 5:00 am

Gotta whole lot of projects to weed through and mark, then a power point presentation to finish... then on my way to Halifax! No time for exercise today for me!

25 km. It's raining. Or at least that's what the weatherman says... I know for a fact if I get up and look out the window, that I'm turning right around and going back to bed.

Ignorance is bliss.
Next?

12k on the TM today was supposed to be outside but the rain looks nasty and my friend who I was supposed to run with didn't really feel too excited about running with me since the flu seems to be going through the house.

I am going to Michaels to get a St. Paddy's Day craft to do this afternoon with Owen. Hopefully something that involves lots of glue or stickers.

It's definitely a gym day today! We're going to Niagara on the Lake today and we're going to do a long run tomorrow along the parkway. :) Today I'm just going to do 4 easy miles on the TM, maybe throw in some strides, and do some back/bicep/shoulder/ab work. I'll go easy on the back/abs stuff- my back isn't bugging me today, but it was yesterday, so I'll be careful.

Sorry to hear about all the rain. Yuck. Earlier this week I was so jealous when everyone in the country had lovely weather and we didn't... but yesterday we finally got our turn in generous proportion. It turns out I actually got a burn from a three-hour run in 10C with a UV index of 3.

Moody morning for a run, Mouse. Hope your clinic goes well. I'm going to laze around for a little while longer to assess how my legs are doing after yesterday's run, but the plan for a little later today is a gentle 10K... outdoors. It's wonderful to be back running outside on a regular basis. It's so much more inspiring and I do believe my hip flexors are happy with this change of scenery as well.

I am planning on 6k out in the nasty rain later today. First few k with the puppy most likely then the rest (gloriously!) all alone, no dog, no baby. :)

No running for me today, but spending 6 hours learning gait analysis, assisted stretching & a promise from the instructor of the course to give me methods of stretching & muscle/gait correction to "fix" my lazy right butt cheek

I'm so excited about the concept of being able to run pain (and brace) free once again! May do some strength training when I'm done, depends on how long the gym that I'm doing the seminar at is open.

Windy like crazy here, but no rain. Had to hold on to my hat when I went out earlier!

Rest day over here, too, after yesterday's combined hilly 39km on trails. Woo hoo!

Heading out the door now to go hang out in Whistler with some friends. I've never been! :)

Just back from a wet, windy, sloppy 25K

Strangely enough, one of my best 25K LSD's ever! Go figure!

Next little while will involve a bit of a taper for ATB.

Have a good one!

Rest day here and it's raining, we're going road bike shopping (cheap one for my commute).

Have a good day everyone!

2 hour run on the schedule yesterday that I skipped due to exhaustion and a busy afternoon/evening is being run today. I may only run for 1.5 hours, as the group I'm running with isn't doing 2 hours. I went to WildPlay yesterday, and today, my arms and core muscles are sore and tired. The legs are a bit tired as well, but not as bad.

13k tempo run planned for today. I'll be on my usual out and back route and I am going to test my fitness ahead of the taper for ATB. My fastest tempo run time on this run is a couple of seconds over 1h02; today I'm going to see if I can come in at under an hour without having to go into a full race pace/effort and taking too much out of my legs.

Haven't worked out all week due to work. :( Planning on heading out today for 10k, it's a must to keep me from going insane. Then more work. :( :( :(

Going out for a 7km LSD very soon. +7 & sunny!

Hard to get my head around a 7km LSD after my previous Full Marathon training... it seems too short for an LSD!
