WHITE rabbits, WHITE rabbits, WHITE rabbits!

April Fools Day. Dumbest day of the year. Still recovering from bad-tasted AFD jokes in my other life! Why do some people think these are funny?

First Friday of the week and it's going to be a gorgeous day. Still debating about the gym. May go for a walk/run outside instead.
Beers on a patio with a friend who's retiring today is also on the agenda. Best get out there early. I'm sure the patios will fill up quick today.

Hoping that everyone has an extra bit of sunshine in their day today! Have a great day all! :D

I'm running short and easy after school with some strides thrown in to loosen and sharpen up (is that even possible concurrently?) for tomorrow's race. Not going longer than I should will be a challenge tonight I think- it's going to be SO nice today!! And tomorrow it's supposed to hit the high 20s!! I'm not super worried about heat in the race- it starts at 9:30 and it'll be over fast (hopefully). Usually I'm good to 25 running fast and 30ish running easy. I'm so looking forward to wearing my sundress post-race!! YAY!

Scotty and I wake up every morning to 96.7 Star Country. (it is the best local radio station, based out of Pembroke) We've been re-embracing our Country roots since we moved here. Scotty woke up today in a bad mood, because our favourite station is now 96.7 E Z Rock and playing John Tesh, Kenny G, Micheal Bolton and Barry Manilow. The highlights of the morning were Berlin's Take My Breath Away and Manilow's Mandy.

Scotty cheered up when I reminded him to day was April Fool's Day.

The station personalities have gone to all the local Tim Horton's locations to give out t-shirts to celebrate the "format change".

This is one of the best April Fool's jokes I've seen/heard in a while.

Army.ca usually does some sort of April Fool's joke to get the membership all up in arms...I like April Fool's jokes played on the "collective".

I gotta get out for some semblance of a run today...even if it is just a hobble. I'm not sure how my ankle will hold up. I rolled it pretty badly last Friday night and I'm still having issues.

I thought about going for my run this morning, but decided to set the alarm as if I weren't, and if I woke earlier I'd go. So I didn't go, and I reset the alarm for later, and hit snooze twice. Who needs to be at work on time? Not me. :shifty: I've started staying a bit late every day since I can't seem to get here on time anymore. (And by being late, I come in at 8:34 instead of 8:30.)

So I'll do strength at lunch and an easy 3 miles tonight. My legs are still feeling last night's track work.

No running for me today, but I did start the day with a bannana & cherry smoothie, and a cappucino, so I feel good.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Today was sort of a trial race workout

10min warmup
30min race pace (4:57/km) (Plan was 5:00/km)
30min race pace plus (4:42/km) (Plan was 4:50/km)
10min cooldown

Workout actually went better than I expected. Started to feel it near the end, but stride and effort felt good. I feel like I am getting my road legs back.

Oh and I did have a Rabbit cross my path, so it that Good Luck?

I'm trying to get out for a run this evening. I'm going to need it to clear my head after the week I've had. Work all day today until then though. This afternoon, I'm planning to work out on my office's patio--it's supposed to be 85 and sunny 8)
