Happy gopher chasing ... my dogs would love that marathon

I am heading out for my LSR shortly. Went for a massage yesterday and he worked a few spots really hard ... I am still sore! :( Hopefully all will be well once I get going! It is a beautiful morning out there! Great day for a run!

Good luck Kristen!! Run hard!

Dave and I are heading out shortly to our race. I had a crappy sleep- woke up at 4 and laid awake for an hour and a half. Oh well, you know what??! It's only 5K!! I can't run a marathon on adrenaline, I discovered, but I can sure as he** run 5K. Hopefully I can run hard, but hey I'm doing the double-double pictured in my avatar (coffee/RedBull) so that should help.

I've got a tempo run to do. Missed my run on Wednesday because i was still too sore for helping with a move... but no where to make it up this week, so I"m letting it go.

I had a great client at clinic last night. It made up for the crappy test on Wednesday. I am working hard at perfecting my timing skills (making sure I don't run out of time) and I'm getting a bit better at it. Most of my classmates seems to have trouble with the paperwork, but that is one area that I'm fine with. Maybe because my 'writing' skills are good (from being an English major)... I can read one or two past client reports and get a feel for the language I need to use and then just use it when I write my report

No work today!!! Happy Friday! I'm in a tank top and shorts, since it's going to be 90 today! I love, love, love this weather!!!

Headed out to fleet feet in a few minutes to buy some new trail runners. Actually stopped in here first to see Carrie's shoe thread since there were so many good options there. Then headed to acupuncture this morning. Over lunch and early afternoon, I'm going to be taking my first quiz for my current class, then DH is coming home from work in the early afternoon so we can plan our trip this weekend. We're headed out to Hanging Rock State Park early tomorrow to hike and camp until Sunday night. Last night we both got new sleeping pads, so we set up the tent in our bedroom and slept in our sleeping bags with our new pads. We're lame, I know!

ETA: I'm also planning a run today, distance TBD. Probably this evening when it's in the 70's.

Not much planned tonight but drinking some wine, packing the car, and going to bed early!
2010: Cautiously coming back from 14 months of injury!

June 26: Legal Run-Around 5K, Wilmington (28:51, PR!)

ah tempo run, how I've missed you...... but you are still so hard.

No hard as in "I'm dying and can't keep going hard"... but it's a hard pace to nail down. Not slow, but not fast... just somewhere in the middle. Just a little over 8K, and now I have to get ready for a weekend of traveling.

Will be heading to the outdoor track shortly for a fast run -- thought the track might be safer than the silly sidewalks that jump up and trip you

Will be doing Z3 work for 25 min at 5:10 for 5 min, 5:24 for 5 min, repeat until 25 min, then Z3 for 40 min.... should be fun.... have NEVER run these paces before but this is what the plan calls for.....

keep positive!

hope the people racing had/are having good runs!

Missed updating the daily thread yesterday (I find if I say what I plan to do and then it doesn't happen that it drives me nuts, so better to write about what has been done!)

so, last night - got in a modified workout from my Wed spin class that I missed - did a good hard 50min on the bike.

Today - up early and met the crew at 7am for a run - because I was coming into work today, I only did 7k in 47min - the rest of the group was doing 20k to 19miles - yes, a variety! but awesome to have company and was nice to see the girls!

Boot camp class is at 11:45am which I'll head to. Then a swim planned with the DH (and see, now that I typed these two out, they may not happen! HA!)
