Had a great 21 kms LSD in the sunshine - not too hot out yet. Last really long run before Boston!

10k done in 1:20 or so. Not bad considering it was VERY up-hilly and my first run in the heat this year (24 degrees).

It might have smth to do with the pre-run chocolate boost :D

7K recovery run... got a little windy and started to sprinkle; good distraction from a few little aches & pains.

1st 10km on the roads 'this year.' Thanks for keeping me company for part of my 29km run.

I could have easily done without the 30km/h headwinds... but it was great on the way back! 1:08:31 for my 1st road 10km going against strong winds too!
30km this afternoon on the bike.... going into the same winds as well. Once we hit the turn around point, it was near effortless supersonic all the way back home

10 miles done with DH. Really impressed with his recovery from ATB. Maybe he needed to push more!! Don't tell him that.
As for me, I think FINALLY my bronchitis is leaving me after 17 days of crapola!! Still, I am using the next couple of weeks as semi-easy weeks until everything is clear in my lungs. Ottawa is next and perhaps Sporting life 10k (a tradition). Now to hold DD hostage for chocolate!!!
Cheers,
Jill

will be heading out for 20-21k in a little over an hour from now - the DH and a couple of his friends are going for his last pre-Boston LSD of 20 miles then too! Easter dinner at friends tonight!

20.2k done in 2:14 - started with the group running the 'Hustle for Hunger' 10k/5k race - right on where I wanted to be pace wise for the first half (running into the wind - go figure) - slowed it down on the second half - still averaged out at 6:40min/km I believe so I'll take it.

The DH and co got in 18 miles - so he's on taper now.

10K trail run done. Still feeling sore from yesterday, so I took it easy. Awesome day! I made some chickpea and cauliflower curry and it's simmering on the stove now.

The dogs had a spa day too, with teeth, nails and brushing done followed by a little walk down to a spring near the river for a swim. :D

12.75k @ 6:23/km pace, a little faster than LSD pace. The good news is that my IT band didn't give me any trouble, it was my best run in a long time. How I just need to keep doing what I am doing so I can continue my "recovery".

No run today since, well, I can't run. Pork tenderloin on the BBQ for 4 of us tonight...we should have all 5 here for lamb on the BBQ tomorrow evening.
No chocolate today...can this really be Easter?

Thanks for sharing your story, ceileigh! I hope this is the first of many runs for your brother!

I did 8km this afternoon after an early Easter dinner with the folks. My legs didn't seem to wanna go and I took about 5 walk breaks which I've never had to do before. Hopefully tomorrow is better!

Happy 4-year anniversary, Ceiligh.

Had a great 2-hour run in a different part of Montreal - a park on the West Island: Bois de Liesse and Bois Franc... and it felt like very good preparation for the Montreal 1/2 marathon which I'll be running in 2 weeks!

What a beautiful day, and so lucky to have run on trails. Much quieter than Mont Royal, albeit also much flatter, but the air was balmy, with a bit of a cooling breeze. A perfect Easter run, complete with sightings off ducks and red-winged blackbirds, lots of robins, squirrels and a snail!
