A wet run this morning, I wore my shell over a light tech top, I little warm but I'm not looking to get myself more sick now that I'm nearly recovered.

13k with 3x1600 intervals. The last 2 intervals were hilly, mostly up, but although I didn't hit the 4:10-4:15/k target, the exertion was there. 3 intervals were 4:17, 4:25, 4:25. 13k overall with recovery included @ 4:39

For the 1st time in a while, I felt strength and spring in the legs. Like! T-9 days

7.5K with 3 x 500m @ 5K race pace. Almost puked on the 3rd interval- good times.

Busted a brake line on the way to work this morning. I was just at the end of my street when the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the car sailed right through the stop sign. Thank goodness there were no cars coming- I can't imagine what would have happened if it waited to break till I was getting off the 401.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Like Crash, a wet ride to work but my feet are nice and dry... Our department is having a 'fun run' later this morning but apparently there is also a competition for a red shoe... Leaving work early this afternoon to drop my bike off to get serviced.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm glad you're okay!! That's really scary...one of those life flashing behind your eyes moments.

So last night I went to the Rockland Y, did a steady 40 min on the elliptical. Felt nice and warmed up for the classes. Headed off for the Instructor's Choice class, only to find out it was cancelled for lack of interest. Argh!

I was puttering around, looking for a way to kill an hour till kickboxing class, when I saw a spin class start up. I asked the instructor if there was room, and what he was doing? Oh mostly climbing, he said, but you can go at your own pace. So what does certifiably insane-me do? Why, I say what the heck, I have an hour to kill, sounds like fun!!  And yes, I AM that crazy!!!

Did the spin class. The instructor worked us pretty hard, but he was pretty funny... ("slow down on this downhill, there's a rockslide! Watch out for the rocks!") Then I went to kickboxing. Whereupon the kickbox instructor announces "It's LEG day today people!!"  So yeah.....I totally bonked like 2/3 through kickboxing......I've never had my butt cramp before, but last night I did. Gotta love new experiences.   I think, maybe, that last night was a wee bit too much.....and maybe I should stop overcompensating for not running.... :?

Today, REST day. Thank gawds. I've earned this one!!

Happy Friday maniacs!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Hey Sonia - I hope you feel better soon. I have been sick since I finished my marathon on Sunday. The coughing has really been bad for the last few days.
Rest up.

Still raining here in Montreal... which means we will get some seriously mean conditions for tomorrow's cyclocross race
Bring on the mud, the suffering run ups & all the terrible stuff you should not have to bike through with skinny tires!!!

Did run after school ... 5.3KM. I was the class demo for the common fibular nerve lesion treatment (a condition which I do in fact have which at least makes the demo interesting)... made my leg(s) feel a little dead for the run though...
