The tent is fine-- it's closed on all sides and you feel like you're indoors. It's one of those heavy-duty ones. It's been up since the Sun Run.

I was looking out the window at 0c and snow when I wrote that.

Thankfully, the marathon is not in Calgary. ;)

It's sunny and 10 now. Not exactly warm, but nice spring weather. But either way, the tents make it feel like it's indoors anyway. It's a lot better here than in the crowded hotel ballroom.

Welcome, Erin!

I've decided to hit the expo this afternoon at about 4:30 if anyone is there...

Just came out of the expo- and just by chance bumped into Andy there. :) Which was quite convenient since he helped me avoid the line-up with his BMO card.
The expo is much better than the Sun Run one was, but no powerbar stuff. Cliff was there instead. Got my McDonald's coffee, some other free samples, and tried our some stuff I didn't buy.
And I did notice some heaters inside this heavy duty tent, so you would be ok, mike. :)

No!
Much more than that in Vancouver- all afternoon every day. It's always worse on the north shore.

My suitcase went from small to medium, just couldn't stuff everything into the small one. My flight doesn't leave too early, but I have a 3 hour drive just to get it.

Yeah, kinda neat .. what are the odds of crossing paths with another Maniac at the expo, in particular, Jen ... :P

And, yes, if you have a BMO Client Card and/or Credit Card ... definitely bring it to the Expo, to get VIP, expedited service at the race kit pick up ... :shifty:

You guys weren't kidding, as far as how itty bitty the expo was .. though, this year, I did score on a race jacket, something that I was not able to get the last time ... :shifty: :shifty:

Saucony has some seriously orange gear for anyone who wants to glow in the dark. Unfortunately all for serious dollars as well.

Is Habs in town yet, I ran downtown from work and it was sleeting

Yeah that was crazy, sunny to the west with rays of sunshine through my patio window, while it was dark here in Burnaby, raining heavy and hail. :o

Safe travels for everyone coming out Friday and welcome to everyone who is already here in Vancouver! :D

I'm working from home this morning, and then heading to Vancouver this afternoon. I might be taking the fancy bus to the ferry instead of the city bus. It's a bit more direct, and it takes me right onto the ferry instead of leaving me in the terminal and it's a much more comfortable ride. I'm aiming for the 3pm ferry. If the websites are correct, I should be getting off the bus by JWolf's house at 6:09pm. I get the bus downtown in Victoria at 1:45, and will be walking to the bus, so leaving my place just after 1pm. That's a lot of travel time just to go 110ish kilometres!

Can't wait!!!

very exciting to see everyone arriving!

I have a feeling I'm going to need copious amounts of caffeine this weekend... my two day work week beat me up a bit. Have already had a coffee this morning and am still feeling sleepy!!
