I am off work for the holidays, but still woke up early

I will wait for it to get a little lighter, and do another one of those "whatever distance" runs, and see how far I go!

This week, Wednesday is my Thursday (but it feels more like a Monday).

I had a great 8K Solstice Run by the full moon last night. It was awesome! 48:50 for just over 6:00/km (6:06, I think). It felt like we were running harder/faster than that. It wasn't that cold by the thermometer (-5C), but it felt really cold for some reason.

Great 45min trail run this morning. Woke up and my calf's were a little stiff from my VFF run yesterday, but The Stick, Ignite and a set of easy raises and all good to go. Perfect temp out, light dusting of snow over night to make the trails "virgin", Puppy Strider was right into it. Saw 2 deer just 250m from our house, think they are looking for Puppy Strider now. Great pace. Wish I could have run longer.

Today is my Wednesday, but we have our Christmas lunch tomorrow, so really just a 1/2 day then , and then Family Celebration at work on Friday for 1/2 day, so this is like Thursday late morning :)

Just a little cardio at the gym. Was a slowpoke this morning and so we didn't get out the door at our usual time

In other news, almost time to go home for the holidays

Wednesday is my Friday too! But all's been quite on the running front with hurricane like conditions in St. John's and waiting for a new treadmill belt... Hopefully the weather will clear up before I have to resort to an indoor track!

Friday as well. And a fairly easy day with an office lunch followed by an office Xmas Cheer...

This morning was a nice 13.5km bike ride to work... It will probably be slim pickings from here on in over the holidays for any sort of physical activity with family visiting and visiting family...

Have a great day everyone!

Not Friday here, but getting there! I'm here till the bitter end - BUT! NYC in 6 sleeps!

Last night was dinner with DH's co-workers - so I thought the gym would be the best option today (ate too much   ). However! I made a last minute decision to take it outside - since it seemed OK.

It was OK, but I trouble getting warmed up! It was a bit windy in parts as well. SO 10K done in about an hour.

Must stay away from the treats in the kitchen today - this eating thing is getting out of hand!

Have a good day!

Friday for me as well - short day at work, then frantically running around to get the packing done, the house- and cat-sitter settled in, and dash for the airport!

That's enough exercise for me today.

easy 4.6 miles on the TM this morning. Still feeling a little drained from this cold of mine but it still felt good to get an easy run in.

Steady run with rolling hills, 4.33 miles in 45 min

-5 min walking warmup @ 3.5mph
-40 min steady run @ 6.5mph, with 4 hills (approx every 10 min) @ about 7-10% grade at 6.4mph
-5 min walking cooldown @ 3.5mph

Debating whether to go for my chiro ART appt this afternoon or not.....hmm.....calf is a wee tight but probably will be fine once I stretch it out.....but then again my ART guy is off on holidays until Jan 3, so maybe I should go?

Steve? I'll be there at 12:00 for my final tune-up of the year....a little Graston on the calf will do it good.

Yup. He's really great!

I've gone twice already for this calf....it's a lot better than it was, and he didn't think I needed any more as of last Sat. Still, with him being off until Jan, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a final tune-up, as you say.....

I would like to run today... we'll see how the day goes. I woke up with sore throat, headache, and a feeling of general ickiness... but I have to go to work, at least for an hour, so I might come home after that.

Christmas shopping and wrapping is all done (yay!).

Have my hour cardio/strength class this evening. I will get there early and do a nice and easy 3km on the track before the class starts. I signed up for the Hypo Half in Feb and am excited to have a race goal!

Have a great day maniacs!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!
