I have a long run planned for this morning. Hoping to be out the door by 8. Worried about the wet rainy roads/sidewalks that will have now turned icy.....

My back was acting up again yesterday. That's twice in a week. I MUST get back to my pilates routing so that is on the agenda for today!

I have a bit of shin splint action from Friday's Resolution Run so hit the TM today with the VFF's. I am liking these, at least on the TM. Have not used them outside at all. It is interesting to feel my toes when I run! Ended up doing 30 minutes on the TM. Only my second real run on VFF and don't want to push it.

My niece and her SO are coming over for lunch today so I am making home made lasagna! She has 2 shelties, I have 3. The house will be crazy!

My nephew is home from Oman tomorrow after 3 months! Can't wait!!!

Have a great day 2 of 2011 everyone! NOw off to do some pilates!

2010 ended with a good note and good news so will be back to a more structured training routine.

Perhaps a 7k run on the TM this morning and then time to dig out the decorations and de-Christmas the front lawn

No run planned today - but only since I ran yesterday BOOYAH!

Hoping to re-start P90X today, but only if the migraine stays away! Back and Biceps.

I know! they're on a roll right now - maybe it has something to do with Sutter being asked to step down, or they just realized that they couldn't get any worse!

anyway - feeling better today and meeting the mochas for a run this morning. then going into the office for a bit - month end/year end wrapped into a few days. but looking at the reports this morning, we're not in bad shape - so hopefully it won't be the entire day.

Nursing a hangover from a New Year's Day party, off to run 15k or so with my sister in an hour. Later on it's tree tear-down time. Also shopping for a new management-approved bathing suit today as we're off to Mexico on Tuesday for a week.

Not raining here yet. A bit tired from hosting the party last night and making from scratch about 15 recipes! It was a nice evening of tapas (but such a lot of work!).

We're starting our hill training today, ATB we'll be ready for you this year!

Last time I went to the RR for a Sunday Club Run, I ended up running alone ... So, today why did I think it would be anything different ... :? The only groups running were the 1/2 Marathon Clinic who were going 18K and the LTR ... and, the Goofy Clinic were suppose to be doing 5K, but decided to run with the LTR Group .... ackkk !!! Anyhoo, ended up running at goal race pace effort ... 6.1K / 30 minutes ... 8)

One more sleep before flying out to Goofy Land tomorrow morning ... It feels as if I just left Goofy Land 51 weeks ago ...   :shifty:   Guess I should start packing soon, eh !!! :shifty:

Slept in a bit, made breakfast for sick wife and kids (Mrs McD & 2 of the kids have nasty colds). Finally getting to sit down with a coffee now.
May go for a short trot around the neighborhood at some point today.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Just got a call from my sister, she's bailing due to illness. Guess I'll have to get motivated solo.

Had a great 14.5 km LSD today, left the usual asphalt paths in the valley to explore some mountain bike trails for 2 kms - they were awesome! Can't wait to explore more next weekend!

First LSD of the year is done with the ATB gang at the RR: 19.02km, 2:01:41, avg pace 6:24/km with 10&1's.

Wonderful run, felt great, had to hold back from speeding up which is always a nice feeling. Puddles were just beginning to flash freeze as we were wrapping up, so we had good timing!

Trying not to get discouraged about the pace of my LSD's these days - but it's hard.

25K in 2:39 - Very windy in parts, but I'm going to have a look at my garmin data to evaluate this.

Anyway, I thought it seemed like a pretty good overall run, but the best part was running into some RR friends at Timmies afterwards! Nice visit! :D :D

Ran just over 21 k today with a few friends I have not seen in awhile. COLD would be an understatement. There must have been a shift of about 20 degrees since yesterday. Went for a easy 1 k in the pool afterwards, I really do not like swimming..........

I'm finally up after a 12 hour turkey-induced sleep. Now, I am off to tackle some cleaning, reorganizing and maybe some painting.

I see snow in the forecast this week... guess Mother Nature wanted a do-over.

My first run of 2011 was great. The weather was good, a bit windy, but my pace felt comfortable. 10.6K in 59 minutes.

12 km run this morning with the RR clinic, followed by brunch at Your Father's Moustache. Nice combo to start the new year.
