This is it! Good luck to everyone, whatever result you're hoping for!

Well, I already got in to the Nike Women's Marathon/Half in the draw today, so what are the chances of lightning striking twice the same day??? :?

Congrats and good luck.

I'm watching the lottery show and they said there were about 90,000 applications. I don't know how many slots are filled through the lottery but even if it's only 30,000 of the 45,000 those are still better odds than I expected.

I don't think it's that high. It's more likely the inverse: 30,000 to charities, etc. and 15,000 to the lottery.

:( :(

Oh well, 1 in 6 is still better than the 1 in 10 that I've heard quoted.

It depends also on where you are from. The chances in the lottery are lower if you are a foreign applicant because we have access to the tour packages. What I heard before is that your chances in the lottery from outside the US could be as low as 1 in 20 this year.

And it's not just charities, community entries, and tour packages-- the number of qualified runners is increasing every year.

Anyone know how we can check the results? The only thing I have found so far is the scrolling list on this page http://www.nyrr.org/tv/

Every time I click on the link for Entrant Login, I just get the following message:
The ING New York City Marathon 2011 Non-Guaranteed Entry Application is closed.
The Non-Guaranteed Entry Drawing results will be announced on April 27.
Watch Marathon Opening Day at 12:00PM.

I guess we still have to wait a little bit longer. :?

Um, there has to be a better way than watching for your name among the thousands that are scrolling! :)

It says if you log in you should see "selected" if you got in. Does it not work yet?

The bad news: I'm not in :(

I just searched for about 10 people I knew that were trying to get in-- no one is in.
I wonder if the lottery is actually done?

Lightning did not strike twice for me today. I didn't get in, but will still be going with the travel package I bought.
