Darn! I will miss my friend Marg again. Mrs. Tortoise and I will be flying back from Northern Ireland on the 15th. Good luck Marg and all the maniacs participating!!

Very much on the fence about this one (the half). I'm registered (did it in June for $20) but am not sure it would be a great idea. I have only done up to 15K up till now (several times, but still), and it's still kinda feeling like a long way. :roll: My IT band complains at about 14K quite often, as well. I just don't want completion of the distance to be a question, and I don't want to embarrass myself! If Sporting Life goes awesome, I may do it (the confidence boost may push me over the edge) but I may wait and race the Bread and Honey 15K hard instead. I know I can be ready to do well at that one. Then I can make the fall my season of half marathons. 8)

Anyone need a bib for the 1/2 ? :shifty: I'm pretty sure that I will be DNS'ing it, now that I added the Ottawa Marathon into the mix, will need start watching my pennies, as I will be coming off of a 4/5 day week(end) in Vancouver, as well as having added a 2 week vacation to San Francisco Marathon in July/August ... :shock: :?

La, I was just wondering last night if anyone was running this! Thanks, d, for putting my name up there. Looks like a nice little gathering of maniacs for the 15th. PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're going to try this new thing called jogging. Or maybe it's yogging-with a silent "j". Apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

Yes! I read awhile back that you can not force HOOPLA, it is just made. This is one of those times, I think. What should we do? Breakfast? Lunch? Run the whole course holding hands?
