Love it, I'll give a shout out with my RM tee. I am the chatty guy that the other racers hate so I should have time to give a holla.

Thanks for the support!

I was looking for that sign today and found it at the top of the big hill at 10.5K. Thanks for being there, Dee! :)

i had MUCH more success spotting maniacs (or being spotted) today than i did at ATB. maniacs who spotted me, waved, high-fived or stopped for a hug include:

gnu
Robbie-T
casual-runner
La
Marg
Lightning
Annelizabeth
erinmcd (spotted at finish)
mrs Mcd (at finish)
"msdesigner" BJH
getfit
double bellybuster
cupcake girl
jogger barbie (cheering)
terrific whatzkit (cheering)

if anyone else spotted the sign, let me know - i heard a few "running mania" call outs that i couldn't pinpoint. :) GREAT response to the sign today - managed to make quite a few people laugh on their way up that awful hill.

CONGRATS to everyone who ran!!!

the only disappointment is that although we saw Marg finish, we couldn't find her in the finish line craziness. wandered around until the shivering started, and then Lightning cried all the way home. but i got a mid-race hug. :D

Loved the sign D :D And you were positioned in the perfect spot, I think we all needed a pick me up after that hill. Thanks for braving the cool, drizzly weather to cheer us on :D

Thanks so much, Dee! So great to see you, though my running partner thought I should have hugged you. Loved the sign. Marg, I am so sad I did not get to see you.

I quite enjoyed seeing Jogger Barbie (and her "Ken"????). Such a speedy lady yet so humble. My favourite kind of runner! Inspirational! :D
Lightning :)

We're going to try this new thing called jogging. Or maybe it's yogging-with a silent "j". Apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

It's true Jo-Jo! though facebook is the only place I've seen my official time so far! Not up for any women in my age group except 1! Checking later!

Nice job all you Mississauga racers! On not such a nice day.

Way to be Lisa , you will love Boston!

The weather was actually OK. The rain was light but there was a few times that we were into a pretty cool head wind but it wasn't too bad. The worst part was after he race I got really cold and the only place to get shelter was on the bus ride back. It would have been a good day to do the drop bag thing with a winter jacket and some dry clothes...my fault for being so dumb!

My run was totally amazing ....no PB or BQ. My joy came from running with a group from the TRi Club I belong too. I hung in there with two first timeres and we managed around a 3 min negative split finishing in 4:01:03 crossing the finish line together. I am working on the race report.

actually, it brings back memories - when we ran that course in 2009, that was the exact spot where toobusy stopped to hug the police officer! (turns out she knew him from the gym - at the time it looked like she was just that happy to be at the top!). it's a hug-worthy hill!!!

it was funny watching the lead runners come through with their cyclists and some bike medics. the runners stayed strong and steady but sloooowly the cyclists would start to wobble and weave up the road, and lose ground until they were trailing behind the runners. in some ways it seemed like the cheerers were encouraging them more than the racers.

No problem DBB!

Yes, deerdree I saw you and your sign, thanks, but you were distracted with something and I wasn't in any RM gear, so no chance for a high 5! maybe next time.
