Just a short one this morning.
For the life of me I can't decide on a distance for tomorrow.
One week to Mississauga. Is 17km too much?

Wow for once this week flew by for me!
Marg, I would do a bit less than 17K but that's just me and I don't know what your training looked so far.
Tae-box at lunchtime after a rest day yesterday.
Have a good one

Quick 30 minutes this morning. Didn't feel so great, allergies and asthma are bothering me. I am also glad that's Friday... was in clinic every night this week and I'm tired... tonight is my last night and then back to my regular schedule next week.
The rumours are true......

Umm, I think you are confusing the term 'taping' with 'tapering' process, Sylvie ...
So, as for the announcing are you "Expecting" a new grandchild addition to the family, perhaps ??
As for me, got in my morning 30 minutes in the chair ... and, may or may not do some sort of aerobic activity later this afternoon ... biking or running ?? we'll see ...

Re: Thank Gawd it's Friday!
A bit of a zombie today, it has been a long week! A 5krun tonight and a Tracy Anderson mat workout, plus taping one foot for Sylvie.
Thank Gawd it's Friday!
Marg - I did 20k a week out from van - no ill effects - go for it.
Last night - solid 2250m in pool doing one of my fave workouts (150s). Then transitioned to a run and got in an easy 6k in 39 min.
Rest day today - weekends of long rides, double workouts and sore legs start tomorrow. Yipee for ironman training!

Re: Thank Gawd it's Friday!
Marg, if you're racing Missy, then 17 might be too much (I am doing 12 with Ang this weekend). But if Missy is just a "run" and you'll be racing NCM two weeks later, then 17 would be good.
I ran 5K in 29 minutes on the TM this morning (plus cool down). I haven't been on the TM in ages, but with getting ready for my trip to Halifax later today, that's all I could fit in and still get to work on time.

'That sounds exciting!!
It's been a slow week for me...after the two races on the weekend (both with hills), my quads were shot, plus having a big toe nail issue (and not liking it heading into sandal season), so not a lot of running this week. Guess my taper for the Ottawa Marathon starting a little sooner . Anyway ran 2 miles on Wednesday and 3 miles last night. Hopefully will go a little further tonight.
Re: Thank Gawd it's Friday!
A surprisingly enjoyable 16k with intervals - 3k w/u, 10 x (3 min hard @ 4:28/k, 3 min easy @ 6:00/k), then c/d until the nausea went away!

Re: Thank Gawd it's Friday!
TGIF, even though it's only been a three-day week for me. Was at the office until 8:00 p.m. yesterday, proving that as per usual, no vacation goes unpunished...
At least the running is good these days! 10 km at Runpub on Wednesday night, a little faster than planned but it felt good. Then an easy 8 km this morning, a little breezy outside but the perfect temperature. Dare I say that it's really and truly Spring here in the GTA?
Back to the grindstone, hoping to leave on time today. Have a great Friday and a better weekend, everyone! And best of luck to anyone who is racing

Off to Whistler Blackcomb today with a co-worker for one last day on the hills, then the equipment will be put away for the season. Mind you the with the conditions up there and the depth of the snow pack (320cm base), maybe I should hold of on storing the equipment.

Re: Thank Gawd it's Friday!
For some strange reason, I woke up before my alarm clock at 5:30 this morning, so I hauled myself out of bed and did one of the 30 Day Shred workouts with Jillian Michaels. I haven't done one of those in awhile, and I've obviously gained fitness since the first time I did them, since I was able to do everything in the video without breaks. No running today. That's tomorrow...

Spin workout after I clean the house. Positive vibes for me today please. I have been called to discuss some ultrasound results with the Dr. and I am very nervous. Hopefully it will be something minor.
