To be fair, we had the 1st real spring in a long time. Goodbye spring, hello summer.

I ran this morning...very humid...got 25 minutes of sweat in.

Perhaps, in Montreal .... If you call cold and wet, then yeah, so, that's what Spring should feel like ... :shifty:

As for me, my summer running hours have started .... Up at 4:30am and out the door for a 5K / 27 minute recovery romp around the neighbourhood ... then, caught my regular bus and got to the Club for my daily 30 minutes of r&r in the chair ... :shifty:

Just getting over being sick... again... I guess freezing & jumping into a freezing river crossing was not such a hot idea during Sunday's Spartan Race

Still 21 days until summer, folks! ;) Let's not rush it!

Runpub tonight. Looks to be perfect temp, though a little windy (should make for a nice negative split if we run an out and back).

Walked 20 minutes to the bank, then ran 3K home for a recovery run. Not much soreness after the NCM 10K, but lots of fatigue it seems.

Studying in the sunny backyard today and then going to the Jays game tonight

7.8K in minimalist fashion this morning- nothing but my short shorts and huaraches. That's about as close to "natural" running as I can get without getting arrested.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Good Morning!

Sunny, warm and a bit windy out this AM - perfect for a leisurely run commute! 12K done in 1:13. I love how many runners I see out on my communte on Wed mornings! Especially up and down Mount Pleasant, and through the cemetary.

Now to take on the day.

Is it a uniquely Canadian thing that we "expect" that summer starts on May 24 and ends on Labour Day??

I'm no longer a Cochrane Hill virgin! Woot! met my coach and group at 6:30 - had some issues with my back tire - seem to have a valve issue or something (yet, I pumped it to 110 psi before bed and it seems to have held over night). Anyway - we rode out to Cochrane and then tackled the hill.

http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1078836#climbs

about 5k climb - and yes. it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - took about 20min to climb -and was sweet to overtake a few other riders going up! THAT never happens!!

So all in all - 34k done last night in 1:20 - not the most stellar pace, but with that hill, it was a solid evening.

This morning - got to Y at 5:45 and was in the pool at 5:50am for 2600m.

Depending on how work goes - if I get out on time, i'll ride with some friends tonight. If I'm running late, then i'll run!
Race Hard. Race Happy.

Teaching strength this morning. Maybe a short run later to celebrate the day.

Nice work on the hill, Carla!!

I didn't go to ultimate last night, because I'm sick. :( I hate, HATE missing ultimate! (I have to miss it next week because of a concert, but will play with another team on Thursday so it doesn't hurt SO much.)

Today, I'm supposed to do the Grouse Grind with a group going up with Karl Meltzer. But... I'm sick. So, we'll see. I'm not going to work.
