After QC's butt kick in another thread, I decided to go out for an easy 5k. No watch, no garmin, just enjoyed and stopped to talk to some friends along the way. Lungs are definitely feeling the cold, though.

Good luck, Crash (don't crash! ).
Not sure what today will bring. It's raining and I don't want to ride in the rain, so chose housework instead. If it clears up this aft, I will ride then.
Ooooo, thundering now!!

Just back from the 5K Redemption Run, in support of the Harvest House, this morning, and somehow came away with a 21 second PB and sub-20 minute 5K ... that was supposed to have been a training run, in preparation for next Saturday's Run for Rogers House 5K ..
Just a bit of R&R time, then heading out for an afternoon shift at the Bush ....

He can't crash. Doesn't have his bike.
For me, a very slow 6.8 km run with some friends.

Not sure what to do today, small run or not and may waver on the side of caution. Knee was still giving grief last night so may hold off. Still haven't decided on a training plan yet so really no agenda yet.

Rest day today.... no wait correction, no planned run day today!
Getting ready to play two slo-pitch baseball games, then have some quality family time. Tomorrow is much the same, I will run in the 5K fun race Run Up For Downs at SFU, then quickly drive off to park to play another two more slo-pitch games.

Sometimes rest isn't enough for these types of things- have you had any therapy for it?

Nope not yet, was trying to avoid it, mostly because of limited time.
There is a good sports medicine place nearby though, I may need to start jumping through the hoops to get in there.

Re: Racing on Saturday!!
The store now has staff meetings every day at 8AM, so had to head there first thing this morning..... decided to take the road bike. Round trip it was about 20K. The way home was a torrential down pour, thunder and lightening. I keep thinking I should just head to the subway station, but I was so cold and wet I just wanted to keep moving.
The rumours are true......
