Drive Through Tuesday

Postby ceileigh » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:02 am

Driveway demo set for 7:30AM this morning. This includes my back walkway to access the crack in the foundation and should, I hope, be the last of the major repairs related to the heavy rains and floods of last year. This part is not covered by insurance but some things just have to be done so it will be done! Then to line up volunteers to lift and re grade my patio stones and I should be safe from water flowing 'at' the house!

My plans are to walk the dogs in a few minutes and then prepare for the mess! I am hungry this morning for the first time since last Friday's flu. Hopefully I will be able to get back to actual eating today as I have not been able to eat since Friday so I am still not running. Three days without food does not make for a strong running base but hunger I'm getting there!

Have a great day everyone!

After the past week of long and steady distance and volume, it was nice to get out there this morning @4:30am for a 6K / 27:30 shake out run, with middle 4K at threshold pace for tomorrow's No Frilles 10 Miler (3 Person Relay) ...

Chiro appointment later this afternoon ... hope to get in a ride afterwards, as it's been almost a month since my last ride ... :? :(

Run with a friend after work today. A one day break in the weather here. Back to 41-43 for the next 3 days. No No Frills 10 Miler race for me in that nonsense.

Nothing yesterday. Nothing planned for today. My mum is coming to my place for dinner and staying over, then she takes the train home tomorrow, so I had to bump my usual Tuesday workout to Thursday (which is going to be the HOTTEST day of the year! FFS).

remember - all that oil is clean up there.

Had a great swim last night - got in 2600m in just over an hour.

It's our 8th year wedding anniversary today - so squeezing in the workouts after work before we go out for dinner with some of Dave's family - that'll be a spin and then some strength!

Go for it, r4l! I ran 4K in the nice coolness this morning, with no walking at all. This is the longest non-stop run since my injury recovery. :D
