I do get the holiday, even though I live in Quebec - good negotiators at the hospital I guess :)
Plan is for 8 slow K on the treadmill at some point today, gotta shake the "I'm on holiday don't really feel like moving fast" feeling first.

Have a great race Ang!

Not sure what's on my plate today... I think my book needs to be read :D in the sunshine :D
I'll likely do a short run this evening, and a nice walk in the sun.

Have a wonderful day!

Good luck, Angela! Get your mental on.
I did a very slow 6K this morning. The pulled groin was OK with me going in a straight line but I had zero energy. These days happen, so we'll focus on putting in some easy miles this week until normal service is resumed....I'm due for a cut-back week, anyway.

I got a course PB, but that's about it. First 2 miles were great. I should have quit there. :p 57:33 by my garmin.

Have a great race Ang!

I slogged out 5.5km along the ocean. Very melty out here, but going boating later. Yesterday we went to Hemingway's house/museum. The estate houses 50ish cats. I didn't want to leave. Had to buy a couple books and a cat mug.

Have a great day!

Undecided about what to do today. Either a rest day or a recovery run later. I'm feeling a little heavy-legged after yesterday's long run.

Finally, decided to roll out of bed this morning around 7:30am PDT :shifty: then promptly went out for a nice and easy 30 minute / 5.15K recovery run in the 'hoods of Richmond District ... Legs do not appear to be any worse for wear, considering that I ran a maratho less than 24 hours ago ... :?

My Cousin is off work today and has offered to take us wherever ... not sure where that is, but hope to be somewhere, that includes outlet shopping .. :shifty: and, touristy attractions ...

Race #2 for me as well today- I raced the 2 miler in Dartmouth. It wasn't great- I was still feeling my race on Saturday in my legs, as well as lack of sleep. I actually didn't overdo the wine last night (but I did Sat night!). I couldn't even hit half marathon pace- lol. Ah well, the great thing about short races is there is always another one around the corner to do. And my performance Sat makes me more confident that a 20:xx 5k is still within reach this year. :) A fun afternoon of sailing rounded out the day. Natal day totally kicks Simcoe Day's butt!!
