Run out of the YMCA in downtown Hamilton Ontario. Join the 1,000 runners and walkers in this historic event. Many maniacs return annually to this volunteer run event. We pride ourselves on putting on a great race experience so that you will return year after year and bring your friends. Indoor registration, refreshments and awards. Changerooms with showers for entrants. A great post race social at Slainte Irish Pub, bring your number for a free beverage.

Information and online registration at http://www.boxingdayrun.ca

In person registration on December 3rd at the YMCA 79 James Street South, Hamilton, Ontario. 11am to 3pm.

see you then or on race day,

James

This one is definitely on my radar- I would like to do one more race (hopefully a GOOD one) in 2011. It'll depend on... how much pinot noir and eggnog are consumed the day before I guess.

If I decide to run this 10 Miler it would be my 6th year in a row with the Boxing Day. It might be my last run of the year 'cause I'm not running the Egg Nog Jog. Probably never will in the future (Egg Nog)....I don't like races with caps .....sounds like a dictatorship.

In person registration went smoothly, it is always great to get runners feedback, and to meet the people who are going to enter for the first time. Now over 520 entrants and planning for 1,000 by Boxing Day.

see you on race day,

James

Online Registration closes December 20th at midnight.

If you are still thinking about joining the 1,000 other 10 milers, we do have race day registration.

oh man, i missed you too, ken! i was on the first hill (coming up longwood from the waterfront path, right before the photographer) from the time the lead runner went by until the sweep car. hopefully you heard the cowbell, despite missing some maniacs. :)

lots of folks out there today, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. this is one of my favourite races!
