The shirts look virtually identical every year. They should change it up! I actually don't mind the style of the shirt itself, but a variation in colour/pattern might be nice.

They are different, but they keep the same 'style'. I like it

2012 shirts look just like the 2010 shirts. Of which I heard many complaints among civilians about "too much camo/CADPAT"
I like them.
Too bad I won't be able to get one this year.
It would be nice if they'd switched up to the Arid pattern (tans) for the 5th Anniv tho.

I like the shirts as is. Yes they tend to be the same year to year but they are unique from other race shirts.

Anyone else see the Finisher's Medal for this year ??
One of the many things participants love about Canada Army Run is the “dog-tag” medals they receive when they cross the finish line. These medals are modelled after the official Canadian Forces identification discs.
When a soldier puts the medal around your neck at the finish line, take the opportunity to thank him or her for all they do to keep Canada safe at home and abroad!

Canada Army Run 85% Sold Out!
Ottawa (June 18) – With three months to go until the 2012 Canada Army Run (September 23), more than 15,500 people have already signed up, many taking advantage of early-bird registration rates, which ended last Friday. The half-marathon event is 92% sold out and the 5K, 80%.
“Registration this month has been incredible,” said Canada Army Run Director Simon Côté. “In a two-week period, more than 7,000 people signed up! We are way ahead of where we were last year at this time and fully expect to sell out early again.”
Last year, Canada Army Run sold out in early August with more than 16,000 registered to run, walk, or roll in the 5K or half marathon events. An additional 2,000 spots have been added this year, bringing the registration cap to 18,000.
“A well-organized event in and of itself is not what continues to make Canada Army Run the fastest growing run in the country,” said John Halvorson, president of Run Ottawa, the organization that provides logistical and operational support for Canada Army Run. “I think the reason this event is growing so quickly is because runners and non-runners alike want to show their support for the Canadian Forces.”
Organizers are encouraging those who want to participate in this year’s event but who have not yet registered to sign up soon to guarantee their spot.
Fundraising efforts and proceeds from Canada Army Run benefit the Military Families Fund and Soldier On.

Yes, I wish they would do something other than shirts like buffs, or hats, or socks. I could probably wear a new race shirt every time I work out as I have so many. The Army ones are a good fit and good quality but I have way too many of them and have no interest in adding to my collection.

Re: Zoomphoto is shooting 2012 Army Run Ottawa!
My organization will be sending two teams to the Army Run. A female team with only 4 members and the mens team of 5. I was getting a little concerned that I would not have a mens team as the half marathon was 98% full, but thankfully the last three individuals signed up yesterday afternoon. My counterpart in Winnipeg, DonnaRigs, was much more proactive having commenced her team selections back in Feb. We only got the go ahead about 3 weeks ago.

Wow, sold out already! I'm going camping that weekend. I'm sure that (like all other sold out races around here) there will be bibs popping up all over the place by late August if anyone has missed out.

Well, the Race Organizers have been adamant about "No Transfers, No Refunds, No Deferrals" Policy this year ... so, will be interesting to see if they allow it this year, once the 5K also sells out, by next week, is my prediction ???

Signed up for the 5K last night. Will be running it with the missus, one week before Wineglass. At my current pace, I'll be trying to keep up with her....

Yes, it will be interesting to see if they will allow transfers. I wondering if R&R registrations will increase now that Army is sold out?

Andy, why of course, we are Runningmania. Maybe suggest it in the M&G section.
Hey, Calgary has even had some very successful M&G's that were not even reported on.
