Smiling Sunday!

Postby JoaniB » Sun Jul 29, 2012 7:46 am

It's only because of the Running Room that I'm up early enough to start the Sunday thread.

It'll be a nice 18k in the River Valley of Edmonton - the weather seems pretty much picture perfect, and I am looking forward to running with people again!

Started the day up early at 4:30 am to take my daughter to the Airport. She's off to Newfoundland to see her dad for 2 weeks :( . I will be taking advantage of my free time with some mountain biking later up at Hardwood Hills :D

10km LSD for me at 06:00 this morning. Im having some IT Band issues and it flared up at the 8km mark... So I had to walk the last 2 km. Still managed to get it done in 1hr20 mins though! :)

Great day out there!!

Well I'm off to spend some "quality" time with my foam roller ! ;)

Have a spectacular day everyone!!

Yay! 32K done! at 6:16 m/k pace.

Pretty happy with that, especially since I had a 2 minute negative split! It felt harder in the second half, but I managed to pick up the pace a bit. Oh ... I could have picked a less hillly route. :? Oh well. I managed them!

Have a great day!

planned a long run today and ended up with 4 crappy miles. Just did not have anything in me today, don't know why. :/

Did the "I Ran Gan" 10km as a training run (longest run I've done since last October :D )
It was hot and a bit brutal...my dental surgery under sedation on Friday took more stuffing out of me than I had planned for :? .

BUT....glad I ran this course as one of my main reasons for doing this was so I could post an Event Review.

And yep...this gets thumbs up from me...stay tuned for the review :D

Cool. 8)

I'm also smiling this Sunday. I also got in a "long run" (well, my longest in a while ;) ). After a 20-minute bike warmup, I ran (3-and-1s) for 30 minutes. Happy to get to this milestone pain-free. :)

I did a 32k loop around Richmond today. The cold Gatorade waiting for me in the car tasted so good!

You overachievers you. You do know that the Gran Fondo is only 122 km.

But with a few hills. So 130km in Victoria will give me the saddle time I need. That ride is going to kill me.

On the ferry to newfoundland tonight. We had a great weekend in halifax, including a 6k run on the beach and a romp in the ocean. Just went through Baddeck; next stop gros morne.
