whew. i was refraining from opening this thread because i feared something awful (like the bald toe), but this picture actually isn't so bad.

I thought of that, I even took a picture, then I looked at the picture and said "this looks like the kind of picture that got Brett Favre in trouble" and deleted it.

Same here! :lol: Though I actually squinted and scrolled down really quickly when I opened the thread so that I wouldn't have to see the photo.

But I don't find it hurts when a toenail falls off on its own. :? By that point, it's pretty much dead and no longer attached to anything anyway!

Update: I gave it to my son for his collection of "cool things I found". He didn't want it. But my daughter did (she's also starting a collection of cool things), so she took it away and stuck it in her pocket and I don't know where it is now. I imagine my wife will find it in the laundry.

Nasty........did you have to peal that nail off after it was partially loosened, or did it just fall off completely by itself?
2013 GOALS:

- Compete in the "Early Bird Sprint Triathlon" in May
- Run a 5km pb during the "Bushtukah Canada Day Road Race"
- Complete an Olympic distance triathlon
- Cycle > 33 km / hr during the cycle portion of a Sprint Triathlon.

There was some cuticle holding it on but it was completely detached from the nail bed.

I had to work myself up to opening this thread. Glad it didn't disappoint.

I like to paint my nail beds when I lose a toenail. Just a suggestion.
