Oops, I was a minute too slow. I'll delete mine.

First day back at work in 3 weeks. Got in 6k before work this morning and planning a trip to the gym at lunch.

Haha. I was just going to copy my post from here and put it in your thread and delete mine! Good thing you posted or we'd both be deleting ours!

Biked to work. Since I'm doing a longer run tomorrow (10-11K) I won't run today.

Dragging "The Stalker, Stalkette and Corndoggy" to the Cornwall Tri yesterday and cheering for four hours left my body tired today. I did NOT want to run. But I did anyway! I did walk my warm up though and then did a speed / striders work out. Total running a bit shorter then my usual stride work due to walking a good part of the warm up but my body was happy to have the gentler warm up. Technically I am finally on vacation, at least from one job. With my true 'off' time postponed I do have the odd thing to do related to other jobs or life but for the most part things are quiet. Looking forward to enjoying my pups for a few days and just relaxing. One of my 'things' I do have though is an interview for a contract position at the local college just after lunch today. Fingers crossed on that one! It is really hard to get a foot in the door with the college as they hire most positions internally. However they don't interview external applicants unless they don't have internal qualified applicants (because they union says they have to hire internal if there is someone to hire) so ... getting an interview is huge!

Wish me luck and have a great day everyone!

I was about to say "rest day" because I am sore and tired from yesterday's long run... but Monday is mountain bike day so I will do that instead (we'll see how well I manage it on tired legs!!).

Just finished 5km speed work run. Speed work the day after a 125k hilly bike ride just doesn't seem or feel right but it is what the coach wanted. My knee is killing me, ice time.

5km in 30min done! Perhaps the extra motivation spilled over from watching Ironman Mont Tremblant....

1.5 hours of mtb plus 45 minutes of road cycling. Between that and yesterday's long run, my legs are shot!!
