Rest day for me as I have an event after work this evening.

I had a so-so 9K run last night. The first part was good, the middle sucked, and the end was OK. 58(ish) minutes. Bah.

Since the movers were cancelled last night, and we only found out at 4:30, today will be a super long day at the office. But I brought clothes to run on the treadmill mid-day as a break from packing/moving. Hopefully I will get there!

Have my monthly scheduled 90 minute appointment with the MoP later this afternoon/evening ... depending if I can sneak in a run afterwork, and before the appointment, may or may not end up being an unscheduled r&r day ....we'll see how the day unfolds .... :P

I'm a slacker this week. Probably another rest day.

I'm going in to school today to set up, and I'm going to ride my bike there! This is a big deal for me- traffic scares me. I'm kind of feeling a bit "what the hell" though, so I think I should take advantage of that and just try it. Pat is very kindly going to ride there with me on his way to work (it's not "on his way" at all). I'll run later, perhaps with JoggerBarbie (if she's already run today and will be sufficiently slowed down to run with me, haha).

Beautiful cool morning although it still feels strange that it's dark(ish) when I get up. Ran 10 km fairly easy. As mentioned, hope to run some TBD distance with QC tonight :)

Edmonton was alight last night with lightning and thunder! What a show! If you don't mind these things...

However, it's overcast and grey today, so I'm going to use this as my last rest-day excuse. Tomorrow will be nicer.

Continuing my JFK training. Thus I ran/walked to the pool, swam for 1/2 hour, walked to the gym for a 90 minute workout and ran/walked home. A little over 4 hours in total. Then I had a nap!

I survived my bike commute and actually it wasn't even the slightest bit scary. I totally hogged the lane and everyone just went around me. I took fairly sane roads as well. My legs are feeling my ride though, or maybe it's last night's run biting me in the a**... I went out spur of the moment and ran at a faster pace than I have gone in months, I just felt like I needed it. I didn't sustain it for too long, probably 3K, and then I ran at a more normal pace, ;) but my hamstring is complaining a bit. So are my quads. So yeah, tonight's run should be interesting.

11km tonight. Beautiful night.

I finally received my Garmin 310xt to replace my 305 which is dying. I like the usnit as the menu is the same as the 305. I hate, hate, hate, the bezel operated units by Garmin.

I thought my legs were feeling better until I got on my bike... still tired! About 25 minutes on the bike, but definitely no run today!

Had a good 10K after all with JB. We had a great chat and it was just what I needed! I'm lucky to have great friends like her. :D

Add me to the list of people who love fall running - I just wish the cool temps didn't come with shorter days!

8 km easy this morning, and then yoga at lunch on parliament hill. Beautiful day!
