10K this morning. Was supposed to be an easy pace, but I met up with a girl who I always pass going the opposite direction, so I cruised along with her for the last few km at a pace that more tempo-y than easy. Good run though.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Good morning!

4k steady turned into a tempo run this morning. Felt lovely! 4k in 24:50.

Have a fabulous day everyone :D

I've been MIA all summer, checking in here every so often. My running slipped a bit this summer due to illness but I'm on the upswing! . Lost quite a bit of endurance and speed but nothing a couple months of consistent running won't fix. 7.5 hilly km yesterday and a fundraiser poker tournament in lue of track night tonight.

Have a great day!

Had to go for blood tests this morning. Lab opened at 8AM, so I took the subway there (dressed in my running clothes), the after all the tests, I ran straight down Yonge St (5.7K) to the office. It's a lovely downhill run, but the stoplights meant my 30:30 running time turned into about 35-36 minutes of elapsed time! Overall pace was 5:30/km. I love downhills! :)

There are a few RMers preparing to run 100 Milers this weekend.

Cbaker is in Pinckney Michigan at "Run Woodstock" and will begin the "Hallucination 100 Mile" at 4pm today.

UltraQueenga and the Viking are heading to Haliburton for yet another 100 miler starting tomorrow at 06:00 am.

The temps are quite favorable but its going to be wet, to very wet to extremely wet. Please send out Orange Vibes to these guys!

I am heading to Michigan, I was hoping to do the "Far Out 5K " at 7:30 pm this eve , join Cbaker for loops 3 and 4 ( 50 thru 100K between 10-11pm and 4-6 am) but I am a littel gun shy about wet feet after trashing my feet at Dirty Girls, my main event the "Freak 50K " at 06:00 am Saturday , the " Trippin' 5K - 10K " Saturday Eve at 7pm and if I am still around on Sunday it will be the "Free Love 5 Mile" at 08:30am.

Not a bad morning, about 30 minutes on the elliptical then some upper body weights. Was supposed to do a little more but ended up chatting with two people who are back in the gym after being MIA most of the summer. Not a bad way to start the day. :) My scraped knee is a little more healed so I may run 10 km or so tonight or tomorrow morning. TBD and largely based on weather; i.e.: I have no desire to run in the rain! Still planning a long run for Sunday.

Good luck to the weekend racers!

An easy 12km this morning. A day off work for me :D Later will be doing a pre-ride for a mountain bike race on Sunday - of which I have registered for ( OMG what have I gotten myself in for....). I will be "racing" with the beginners but still a little nervous and looking forward to it too. Hopefully there will be no rain on Sunday

Have a great Friday everyone! and good luck to all those racing this w/e!

About 5k in the park for me today. It's the last run I'll be doing with a Garmin for a while, as mine just suddenly died. Luckily, it's still under warrenty! Have a good weekend, all you Maniacs!

I had a fabulous hill workout last night -- though dripping with sweat from this humidity!

Today's a rest day, then 26k LSD tomorrow. Slow and steady...

Heading for the big city today. Tomorrow is my first GranFondo ride. Vancouver to Whistler. Training is done, knee is trashed and my mental game is very low. I do not know how this ride will play out for me but I will give it 110% and even if the "sweeper car offers me a ride I will not take it. I will finish this ride. It is not the distance that worries me it is the couple hills along the route.LOL!! I will be needing orange vibes tomorrow morning actually all day tomorrow!!

I thought my cold was better... and then it took me an hour to run/walk 5 miles. Couldn't breathe. Will try again tomorrow.

14k with High Park hills today. After a summer of haphazard running because I hate running in the heat, getting back to hills has felt awesome lately. When I got home I worked on assembling an Ikea wardrobe. Given the kicking, cursing and bloodshed from the latter, it's hard to say which was the tougher workout
Whatever doesn't kill you...will still probably hurt like a son of a b*#ch!
