Running to Black Friday.

Postby barebuns1 » Fri Nov 23, 2012 7:39 am

I am stopping at the local Walmart on the way to the gym. I am looking for a cheap travel camera to take to Asia next week. I am doing a long run this afternoon. :)

8.92km this morning in some nice warm temps. I assume this may be the last of the warm weather for a while as the weekend is looking a bit chilly. TGIF!

Should be running today, but not sure if I'll make it out. I'm accepting the fact that November is just going to be a hard month to fit the running in when I'm also doing NaNoWriMo - trying to do justice to both isn't easy.

Easy 5 km, incl. 2 km fartleks. Light snow overnight, but still decent traction on sidewalks. Good run after skipping planned run yesterday.
Plan for 2016:
Jun 25: St. Malo Triathlon - Sprint - done
Jul 16: Morden Triathlon - Sprint - done

Going to attempt my first run in three weeks today at lunch. My hip has been feeling great and I have been religious about doing the stretches. It is also not too cold today, so far -10c.

Have a good one!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Not sure what I'll do today. I'm taking advantage of the nice weather and working through lunch so I can leave early to take my Vespa for winter storage. Seems next week might not be as nice/clear, and I don't want to be scrambling to get her to storage in bad weather. So, I might just extend my walk home from the dealership, or go for a quick run later.

I went for my first run since our new baby was born Wednesday morning. I took our other daughter for a 7.5 km run in the Chariot.

Stayed in bed for an extra hour this morning with my sick daughter which left me doing 10k in the rain. It was refreshing. I think if it wasn't raining, I would have overheated. Guess it was warmer out than I thought

Thanks. It is another girl. Hopefully she enjoys riding in the Chariot as much as her older sister.
