Hello from a returning member
Hello from a returning member
Hi all
I tried to reactivate my account but it was too complicated for my simple brain. I made a new one instead!
A lot of familiar faces here, and many more new ones. I look forward to reconnecting with old acquaintances and making new ones as well.
To update where I am now: after 2 Boston marathons I decided to try triathlons out. I trained in 2011 to get ready for one here in Toronto. I completed it but didn't really enjoy it that much. In 2012 my 12-year-old son came to live with me and I spent most of that summer running with him (we got up to about 30 kms per week).
Now I am back at this running thing, hoping to qualify for Boston again (with the tougher standards) so that I can run it the year I turn 50 (I turned 48 in November). I had some heart problems just before my last Boston marathon and it really messed up my training; I am hoping that this time the cardiologists are right and I am truly good to go.
I look forward to sharing the journey with all of you!
Ray

Well hello! Welcome back

Heh heh, true, true!
RayMan.2 is thinner (something my doctor is keeping an eye on). RayMan.2 is a full-time father (before, my son used to come from Japan every summer to visit, now he lives here!). RayMan.2 runs slower too.

This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day
So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day
