At least one news outlet is reporting 2 dead at Mass Gen Hosp.

Edit: Mass Gen says they have no casualties. They have 19 injuries.

Their headline says that but the story body still says 6 injured. Clearly still developing fast.

Boston Logan Airport ‏@BostonLogan 21m
Please note: Logan airport is open. We encourage you to contact your airline for any flight changes prior to coming to the airport.

That said, at the exact same time, someone else was tweeting air space is closed. :(

For sure? I can't get info and cell phones aren't working. Subway is closed and police are lining the road (since I'm on the route) so I don't even know if I can get there.

Logan and JetBlue are both reporting that flights are normal and on time. Not sure where the airspace closed info came from. :/

The FAA have closed airspace over the explosion site, perhaps that's part of the confusion. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-22160978 at 2120)
Ottawa Race Weekend 10k (2009): 1h07m; Army Half-marathon (2009): 2h38m; St. Patrick's Day 5k (2010): 33m; Ottawa Race Weekend Half-marathon (2010): 2h28m (getting better!); St. Patrick's Day 10k (2011): 1h13m (or not); Calgary 10k (2012): 1h06m (new PB!); Canadian Derby Half-marathon (2012): 2h17m (PB!)

"The FAA has issued a temporary flight restriction over the area of the explosions." According to ABC. Logan is open, but there are these flight restrictions.

12 dead, nearly 50 injured after 2 explosions rock Boston Marathon, law enforcement sources confirm

From POST STAFF REPORT
Last Updated: 4:11 PM, April 15, 2013

BOSTON — Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

A federal law-enforcement source told The Post there are at least 12 dead and nearly 50 injured. Fox News reported that Massachusetts General Hospital was treating 10 people with amputated limbs and all operating rooms were on hold.

Law-enforcement sources said at least the first explosion occurred in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel.

"There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon," The Boston Marathon's official Facebook page read. "We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

According to reports, authorities in Boston found a third explosive device that had not gone off and police were going to perform a controlled explosion. The airspace above the city was ordered cleared as well.

“This changes everything [in New York],’’ one source told The Post. “Everyone’s on high alert. Our marathon was canceled in November. Who knows if that changed someone’s plans?’’

One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out

Come into the light of one fine day

More devices found and dismantled. I don't know what to do. It's extra scary because I don't feel "safe" here alone - because I'm not at home. My friend is working overnight so if I stay, I'm on my own until tomorrow.

do whatever makes you feel safest. My vote is to change your flight and stay put.

Mass Gen Hospital news conference.
Dr. Alasdair Conn says:
19 patients in total. Mostly orthopaedic injuries, but not all completely assessed.
6 critical severely injured, needed immediate resuscitation. 5 very serious.
Some traumatic amputations at the scene.
Compared them to military explosion injuries.
They've received no haz mat patients.
