Seriously Sunny Sunday!
Wow sun is out, cold but I will take it! Come on spring. Speaking of spring I was supposed to be running the Spring Fling Running Thing in Smiths Falls this morning but still sick with nasty chest cold blech:( . Yep I am still whining sorry.....picked up my race kit thinking it would give me good karma. Hmmm did not work....oh well....
Will get out anyway and get some fresh air and enjoy the day!
Best of luck to Andy, Andrea B, Duncan on everyone else running this race and all other RMers racing today!

Easy 6K on the ole TM for me.
Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
Finished the Yonge Street 10K under sunny but cool conditions. It was a great run for me, considering I didn't train enough and have been overcoming an injury. I just love the start of races, all the people, they hype, the horn...

Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
beautiful day here too! it sounds from FB like our racers took advantage of the conditions!
I slept in until a glorious 8 am - felt amazing! Then it was a rush to get to C's swimming lessons, and then we headed out for an easy 4 km with the stroller in the sun.

This, except different location and did 21.1k. Felt strong, should be able to set a decent new PR during Goodlife.

Uxbridge Half Marathon today...most challenging course I've ever run I think and I ran a PR of 1:47:53. Finished 3rd in my AG (though sporstats now shows me 4th?) and got an $80 gift certificate, bronze medal and my photo taken (I was thrilled). Finished 37/142 overall and 11/67 for females. Great day for racing. This was my #RunForBoston run as well.

3000m in the pool this morning at our weekly coached swim. Bike trainer up next, since it is snowing outside

Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
26K done this morning on whipped legs- long MP race on Thurs, easy 10K Fri morning, then 16K on hilly, muddy trails later yesterday afternoon all made for a roughish morning. Those tough miles are in the bank now though, and that's all that matters!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
Sun Run done this morning, it went better than I expect cause I've been feeling off the past couple of days. The weather was completely backwards - chilly and breezy while we were waiting for the start, sunny and too warm (at least for what I was wearing) during and cold and wet and windy in the afternoon.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
Beautiful conditions in Smiths Falls for the Spring Fling. Did the 5km with my daughter while my son and husband did the 2km (their first ever race!). Not fast by any means, but it was a great day to be outside with the kids. Corey and the gang did a fantastic job organizing once again.
Sold my ORW half bib yesterday so now it is time to pick a new goal race.

Fantastic! The prizes and medals were great, weren't they? First in your AG may have been the overall winner and everyone got bumped up a notch! Great result - and that was a tough field you were up against!!!! Sorry I did not meet you, I ran the 5K. Tough course there too.

Re: Seriously Sunny Sunday!
Congrats to all the racers and double congrats to those who had a PB. Has to feel wonderful to have those results early in the season!
No racing for me today, but I did run something between 17 and 18 km in the lovely but cool sunshine. DH could not find his Garmin this morning, and he had 26 km training run to do, so he took mine. I ran to a friend's house (2.X km), ran 12.X km with her (she had her Garmin) and then ran home (another 2.X km, via a slightly longer route). Since today was purely "running for fun", it was actually nice to not be plugged into distance or pace and just enjoy the company and the conditions.
Some time this afternoon doing yard work (nothing major, just cleaning up dead leaves and such from the winter) and then sushi for dinner. Great weekend. Too bad it is over so soon.
