Not going to watch this one. Looking forward to another movie that begins with the word "star" though. :)

Today I'll be doing an hour-ish run on the seawall while I wait for my daughter to start her dragon boat races. :) looks like fun- and it's going to be a great day for it.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good luck to you daughter, is she racing in the morning or the afternoon? We'll be watching from the water during our practice at 1.

In the morning for sure- it starts at 10. In the afternoon if they move on after the initial heats. They are a good team but they aren't sure about some of the competition, so it's hard to predict. Their team is "Youth Overboard."

Now THAT is commitment!

Just back from 30 minutes run/walk. Really trying to take it easy and focus on relaxing and enjoying it. It's a struggle to get back lost fitness, but today was a beautiful day for running and if I didn't have a whole bunch of commitments today I might have gone longer.

20K for me this morning on a Dow's Lake/Rideau Canal/Ottawa River loop. I got up nice and early and it was a simply gorgeous morning out there when I started around 7AM. She's another warm one out there today and I'm glad I finished up when I did. That sun with no cloud cover just kills me!

Have a great weekend folks!

beautiful - and warm! - long run this morning. 23 km done - we ran the loop from last week on the Quebec side of the river, but in reverse. the path was totally covered with water in two spots - so deep, it was over our shoes! the last 4 km were a squishy-soggy-shoe mess.

LOL! I hit the path along the river behind Parliament and there were a few spots where it was very close to coming over. The area where they normally have the docks out at the bottom of the Ottawa Locks was completely under water. There was also an incredible amount of water volume at the Portage Bridge. It was actually nice to see given how dry it was last year. Hopefully it helps the farmers out this year, more yummy corn would be grrrreattt!!!!

Ran a 21.1km trail race in Wakefield this morning. The uphills killed me so I've got lots of hill work to do.

44.5k today in the Gatz, ran Trail 1 from Chelsea to Luskville Fire tower and back, with a 1k detour at the beginning as I missed my turn off.

The last 39k with Strider who's one tough SoB after rolling his ankle hard, and still manage another 30k after he rolled it. Hot hot hot out...but a great day.

Nice point of the day. We ran out of water with 3k left and had a very kind picnicker give Strider and I 3 bottles of ice cold water when we finished. It was the best thing I have ever drank. Beyond the awesome run that picnicker made my day. Random act of kindness...he'll have good karma now.

No running today, but I was leading a Jane's Walk this morning, so between getting to the start point and the walking tour itself, about 7-ish k walking. (Great success on the walk, too - had about 75 participants turn up! Weather is perfect.)

Back from a 6+ hour run in the Gats -- Good run, but 2 major fails: feel and sprained a thumb, and did not bring enough hydration for the warmer conditions! That's what training runs are all about though -- getting this stuff sorted out before race day!!

Mar - Around the Bay 30 km - Done
May - Sulphur Spring 100 miler - DNS
Sept - Army HM
Sept/Oct - 50 miler
Oct - Pace Bunny - Toronto Scotia Waterfront

1/2 Marathon in Danville PA this morning (we're down here visiting the in-laws). Started out nice and cool but it sure heated up quickly! I wasn't feeling too sharp this morning but I managed to hold on to finish in 1:29:XX.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

No run today, I got caught up doing yard work. Oh heck today is still early. Maybe I will get a short run once I leave Starbuck's in a few minutes. :)
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!
