Tired Tuesday

Postby erinmcd » Tue May 14, 2013 6:53 am

Good morning all! Bit of a whirlwind this morning- my boss needed me into work early to review a presentation before his meeting at 8am, so I was up extra early for my run.

15K with 4 x 2.5km at 10k (ish) race pace.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

10K on the TM for no apparent reason. Just didn't feel like getting the heavier warmer gear out. Also did some pushups/crunches and lunges.

Have a good one!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cycling commute wasn't extra pleasant 1h13 in 3oC. I'm not hardcore like SirCrash! I also didn't want to get all my winter gear out so regular socks on the bike this morning meant for frozen feet and I also would have needed something to cover my ears... oh well, it will be better on the way back this afternoon!

Rest day for me so far - stayed up too late last night (after working late last night) and just couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning. I'll do some core work and upper body weights while watching the hockey game tonight.

Also tired here after waking up all night (must be that dramatic Leafs-Bruins game). Did Day 5 of 30 day ab challenge this morning so that gave me a bit of alertness this morning. Times like these, I wish I could drink coffee.

On the tap tonight, Day 2 of week 6 of C25K tonight with SO. At least the weather has warmed up some! :)

Last nights spin class was awesome and kicked my butt! Today my legs are feeling the effects however I shall shake it out with just under 11km very soon :)

I did some repeats today and despite being way cooler than it had been last week, it was pretty nice out there today. The air had a nice freshness to it when the wind picked up.

Went to the track after work, not sure what to do. Started off on a warm-up lap and realised I was going my expected tempo pace. So, just kept going and ran 2 by 2K with a 2 minute walk after each one. Simple but it works for me.

13 km this morning in the on and off rain. Within about two minutes of leaving my house, I heard some thunder and felt a few rain drops. Just before I got to my running buddy's house, I saw lightning and heard more thunder. It started to rain for real a couple of minutes later, but not for very long. Then it stopped, and started again, more thunder, more lightning... The nice thing was that it never rained long enough at any one time that we got soaked, and although I was only wearing a long-sleeved shirt, not any kind of rain jacket, it turned out to be the perfect layer. It was thick enough to absorb the water while I stayed dry, and I was neither too warm nor too cold. Nice when serendipity works. :)

(oops - this was supposed to be in the Wednesday thread).
