Wake up! Wednesday

Postby Jogger Barbie » Wed Jun 05, 2013 8:06 am

Where is everyone?!?

Started the day with an 8 km run, and plan to run some TBD distance at Runpub tonight. This morning was supposed to be 10 km, but between getting a late start and some stomach issues, shortened it to 8. Too bad, because the conditions were lovely. Have a great day, everyone. :)

I'm here too!

a 14K run commute along the beltway for me this morning. Soooo many runners out! :D Saw a dude running down Yonge St in barefeet. I'm all for the minimalist thing if that's your preference, but Yonge St? Bare Feet? Ewwwwww...... FYI dude... my dog pees all over the sidewalk on Yonge St near Sheppard.

11K for me this morning- I sure am loving having it light earlier in the mornings now. There's nothing like hitting the trails as the sun comes up.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Bike, run, bike tonight to see La and the Runpub kids.

Morning! 11km planned for lunch and then an hour of weights/tabata class this evening. Will also take new bike out around the neighborhood again - practicing clipping in and unclipping :) Tomorrow night first long(ish) ride with a group!

Have a great day maniacs.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

what is yoga tune up?

Today was supposed to be a swim day, but when I got up, C was already awake and fussing, so i decided to get her up.

Skipped swim in favour of early morning snuggles and a giggle-filled 5 km stroller run. Perfect way to start a beautiful day!

Therapy balls are used on neck, shoulders, glutes, spine, hamstrings, feet to relieve tension..... it is VERY effective, and you can do it very easily in your home once you learn the technique (the therapy balls are around $15).....

If ever you're interested in attending a class, let me know and we can look at the schedule at the Athletic Club at Trainyards, and I can bring you in as a Guest -- and maybe Tori will even join us!!

Good title for me - waking up was hard! I didn't get home from work until 11:30 last night and the alarm felt like it went off rrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaallllllllyyyyy early. Slogged through 10k on tired legs (tired everything, in fact) but feeling pretty good for sucking it up and doing it.

I'm going to the track tonight with a running group to do speed work. I have no idea what this will entail...but I am scared :help:

I believe we will to a 1 mile time trial, then 400 m sprints. The leader is working out target times for us...I hope he is kind to me!!!

I also did 1 hour weight training this morning which will be my excuse when I suck tonight LOL!
