I still have fond memories of sitting in Steve Dolling's family room (Spencer's dad) a couple days after he had the "snip" with him holding a bag of frozen peas over his "privates" while we visited and chatted over coffee...his wife Tracey had already gone off to work.
I'd only met Steve "in real life" the day before...it was a true bonding moment

I hope to never find out, some things are just off the table....

My husband is the same- his choice and I'm good with that.

Part of me agrees with you. Part of me says that an unplanned pregnancy and birth control are a family decision and not one person's chooice to make.

I understand. But I don't live in an authoritative marriage, don't worry. I'm fine with our mutual decision about how to prevent pregnancy. :) It wasn't like he said "no way, no discussion" - we did discuss it, although I know he does have strong personal objections to having the procedure.

Same here on the discussion part, and strong objections.

Sorta like pulling all your teeth to lose weight, it works, but there are much better ways!

I thought there was a previous discussion on the topic. In fact it was one of the first times I posted and around the time I had my operation. Anyway, here's the link:
