I still have fond memories of sitting in Steve Dolling's family room (Spencer's dad) a couple days after he had the "snip" with him holding a bag of frozen peas over his "privates" while we visited and chatted over coffee...his wife Tracey had already gone off to work.
I'd only met Steve "in real life" the day before...it was a true bonding moment

Part of me agrees with you. Part of me says that an unplanned pregnancy and birth control are a family decision and not one person's chooice to make.
I understand. But I don't live in an authoritative marriage, don't worry. I'm fine with our mutual decision about how to prevent pregnancy. It wasn't like he said "no way, no discussion" - we did discuss it, although I know he does have strong personal objections to having the procedure.
Same here on the discussion part, and strong objections.
Sorta like pulling all your teeth to lose weight, it works, but there are much better ways!
