Hot Sunday

Nobody yet? I was planning on 6k today but couldn't face it when I stepped out the door - it was so muggy and still. Going to do an indoor strength workout instead.

Drizzly early morning 27K. While I had trouble keeping up with my running partner, at least I didn't bleed through my shirt.

Morning!

Yesterday ended up being a rest day. I really felt the need to douse the back end of my cold.

It was a very good decision. I felt much better this morning so I got out for 21k before joining my clinic for 8 more! It was slow and hot, but I feel none the worse for the wear , so it was a success.

The break between the two runs was about 15 minutes.

Have a good one!

Not hot! I'm so glad to be back in Vancouver. I was up early and just finished 16k in 1:38. I saw Rob just staring his run when I was almost finished, but we hadn't planned on meeting up. Figures the one day he's out early, I'm up even earlier. ;) Maybe next week.

Beautiful day in Halifax. Went out on the bike through Shubie Park for 20k or so with a stop at Starbucks at about 14k. Saw drghfx out there a few times. Lots of runners and tri people in the park, so a slow ride, which is a good thing.

Sorry I didn't recognize you guys out there the first couple of times otherwise I would have said hello earlier.

With a humidex of 34 at 10AM it was way too hot for me to enjoy a run. I opted for hitting the weights in the basement, LOL.

Feeling hot, hot, hot...

Managed to get 16K done in the heat. Thankfully, I live in a part of the city with lots of mature trees that provide a good amount of shade. Not my best effort, but since it's my longest run since the half marathon in May, I'll take it.

Sluggish feeling 9k, my quads and hip flexors were feeling tired so glad I didn't go for a bike ride.

It's gorgeous out but definitely too hot to run till dark. I hope to get out for 5 or 6km later, and then I'll bike with Pat for his run. I've been biking around today here there and everywhere... Gotta love summer!!

Beautiful day out there and enjoyed a nice 21k. Signed up for the Victoria marathon today. Will be my biggest race since I've started running.

20+ km bike ride this morning - too hot to run in the daytime, La's valiant efforts notwithstanding.

16K in the early (9am) Ottawa heat and humidity. It wasn't super pleasant and I was worried about heat stroke but it gives me confidence I can handle a bit of adversity. I'm glad I sucked it up and did it.

I got out good and early, but it warmed up pretty darn quickly.

I hit the trails a bit before 7, and did 22km. I started out on some trails that I often run on, but headed off in a direction that I thought was a dead end, only to find that it linked up to the network of snowmobile trails so I was able to find about 10 km of trails that I didn't know about.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Wife ran a race in the morning, so I ran a 15 km road run last night. It was still quite warm, but not as hot as during the day.

I think she's going to be requesting more morning runs, which throws off my weekends. I guess it's payback. :D

Beautiful course, well-organized race, you will enjoy it!

10.5 km run yesterday, followed by 5 km dogwalk. Gorgeous sunny day in Saskatoon.
