Tempo Thursday

Postby erinmcd » Thu Jul 25, 2013 7:02 am

Good morning all!

Beautiful morning for a run here- cool and clear.

17.5km done this morning- 2.5km warm up, 13km at marathon pace, 2km cool down.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I planned to run this morning, but I slept through my alarm for 20 minutes, which left too little time to get in a run. Rest day from running instead. I aim to go to yoga at lunch. (Let's see if it happens. Whenever I post before going, something seems to come up...)

I'm taking advantage of a having a client downtown this morning to have a slightly more leisurely time at the pool. Probably not the best idea as my shoulders are tired from last nights swim and bike.

Will run tonight.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

(Poorly) played in my weekly old man's hockey league. Running has been great for my stamina, too bad it doesn't do zilch for my hands.

Or play making.

And hockey instincts.

Just 5K on the TM for me tonight. Heading out to the lake for the weekend and I'll be catching fish instead of running until next week. Have a great weekend all!

17k. Feeling sluggish today so it was a bit of a struggle getting into a groove during the MP section (11k). They can't all be good but I did have a strong finish.

Rob cut yourself some slack, it was warm out there today. Still 17K mid week, pretty impressive.
