Thursday's Thread

Good morning all!

Another tough one in the books- 20km with 16km at marathon pace.

Just gotta get through 8 hours at the office, then I'm off for a 5 day weekend!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Just a quick ~20 minute-ish consistency run. Full day ahead...... work, drinks with a friend so I can hand him a cheque for doing the construction at my clinic, then off to The Bookshelf for Guelph moving club to see Alien.

Rest day, after a sweaty hill workout last night. Only 6 repeats, but that hill is steep, and it was HOT!.

Good morning! Had a great belly dance class last night and then made it to the pub, which was fun. This morning was 2.5 miles on the elliptical followed by upper body weights and core work. I didn't finish either of those, so plan to make that up at home tonight. Have a great day, everyone. :)

Uneventful 5 km stroller run this morning, followed by an adventure...

I went to put the stroller back in the shed, and accidentally locked my house/car/shed keys in there with it! What a way to start the day! Had to go the neighbour's house, borrow their phone, and call my mom, who thankfully has a spare key and only lives a short drive away. Thank goodness for moms! And thankfully, it was a nice warm morning, so C and I played in the backyard until she arrived.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Easy trail run. They're excavating part of my usual route, so I was either limited to a short out and back or a blind exploration on the "wrong side of the tracks". I chose the latter and discovered another 5K of nifty single-track that I never knew about. Total run ended up at 20K.

Rainy day here, I've been feeling crappy for the past couple of days so may whimp out of run tonight. After a long dry summer I'm feeling rather sugary.

I think my run was 5.5k or so... I didn't wear a watch, and had a backpack, so easy paced.

Had a nice 21k run with 16k at faster than mp. The rain made it a little cooler so it felt great going a little faster.

So I ended up running tonight after all. It was actually a good run - 6km with our hilly route, the rain let up before we ran so I didn't have to test out my sugar factor.
