Good morning - she's gonna be a damp one here in the 416.
Maybe I can slip in a wee bike ride between the raindrops.
What are all y'all up to ?

Debating whether to run now, or wait till this evening when it's supposed to cool down. Problem with the latter strategy is that (a) I'm not a big fan of evening runs and (b) then I won't want to run again at 6 tomorrow morning. Guess I'd better go get dressed...

Got it done - 12 muggy kilometers. Next on today's agenda: spend a couple of hours moving landscaping bricks from the front yard to the back yard.

Heading out shortly for approx 50 km on the bike. Dog walking and cleaning on tap for this afternoon.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Nice easy 12K for me this morning. Everything felt really in sync today and my legs had lots of bounce. It was a little sticky out, but the skies were cloudy so it kept the temp down. Pretty pleasant morning for a run all things considered.

Decided to change things up a bit today: four times 3 minutes hard and 90 secs cruise. That feels better.

Out into the warm and sticky for a nice 12 km. Got a little bit of a shower-off in the middle, which was nice. It was only really brutal when the sun was out, which wasn't most of the time.

I was curious as to how much I had sweated off, so I weighed myself after (I weighed in last night, so that was my comparator). Pretty much a litre, I think. My weight looks encouraging when I'm dehydrated! :P

Other than housework and helping my cousin move into residence, today is a rest day.

so. much. housework.

I've been letting it fall behind... I spent the first half hour today just moving things into the right rooms. :P Now I'm taking a break before I start the actual cleaning. :P

Took advantage of the solo run to do a Monday tempo run. 8 km total with 6 at tempo. Last 2 km were in the 4:40-4:45 range, so I was pleased to see I hadn't gotten totally slow over the past few weeks! stroller running and hot temps will mess with your head!

Biked downtown, had brunch with friends, went for a roughly 4k stroll with them, took the long way home across the new south bridge. Maybe 20k of biking? Gorgeous day here.

I spent the day drinking, barbecuing, and hanging out with friends. Absolutely no exercise here. I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow. 8)
