mine depends on how much energy I have when I get home tonight. I *should* run. :)

Sort of resting!

30 minutes on the elliptical, a 20 min strength circuit, and 15 minutes walking on the TM to cool down. Must have been a good recovery workout, as my legs felt better afterwards.

Rest day here too!
When your legs get tired, run with your heart.

75 mins of spin on tap for tonight. Will do about 30 mins of weights and core prior to the class starting. Looking forward to it!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Ditto, feeling pretty stiff today, much more so than I normally would even for an extra hard effort...

I realized that in my rush to go meet my family after the race, I didn't do my stretching. DOH!

Ran 30 minutes in the trails and improved my distance by about 500 meters. The hardest part I find about being a runner is having the ability to rein myself in. I get moving, and it's like being a kid again. I just want to go faster and faster, pushing myself until my lungs are going to burst out of my chest. Then I remember, I'm in it for the long haul, slow myself down, and just ride the wave. Legs got heavy towards the end, but I pushed through, and finished strong. Awesome Run. Loving this new pain free style.

A light 5K. Pace continues to come down under same HR so I am excited about that. Had hoped to race this weekend in a very small little 5K but it appears that I missed registration and there is no day-of registration. So I will have to wait for the Thanksgiving Day Road Races.
The rumours are true......

2013:
Thanksgiving Day 5k: 27:26

Coming up:
ORW Half Marathon
NYC Marathon 2014

Lunchtime 5K here. It was a fun one, I was trying to beat my running buddy, but he pulled ahead and I couldn't catch him with about 500m to go. So close!

Yep, resting today. I'll do core and stretches tonight. Boy, fall seems to have settled in big-time here, with the days dark and drear. Time to get out my light therapy light!

I ran 8km here in Medicine Hat. I was half way through my run when I had to stop and retie one of my laces. When I stood up my left hamstring seized up. I am thinking I might have been a little dehydrated.

I was looking for another fall marathon. I was going to sign up for the Las Vegas Marathon but once I seen the $180.00 US price tag. I had second thoughts. I signed up for the Tyler Rose Marathon for $90.00 US. I saved $90.00 US, that is a lot of beer :D
