It's Saturday!

Well, it's warmer today (and sunny), but crazy windy. I'm going to do a point-to-point run with the wind at my back (5K to my BF's house - he said he'd drive me home). Sounds like a plan! :)

I was thinking all the eastern folks were hibernating, not that I would blame you.

Will be heading out soon for a chilly (for Vancouver) run. Distance undetermined, most of my crew need to be starting their marathon training so longer runs will be starting soon.

Finally, first run of the new year. I've gained weight and lost fitness over the holidays! And it's just 5 km on the treadmill today. But I hope to build back up!

Will be hitting the gym for a TM run after yoga. It is so windy and cold here that the elm trees are creaking. The snow is too deep to run outside. Maybe tomorrow. Considering that this is the winter I wanted to run outside all year, I'm not doing very well.

20k on the TM - longest run since mid November and longest run on the TM in a very long time! I wasn't going to do my long run today, but thanks to 2 huge bins full of Lego, I had company in the form of 2 very happy and cooperative kids! Once I hit 16k, I decided to just keep going until I hit 20k or someone (other than me  ) had a meltdown.

A little under 11k in -27 (-40 wc) with the dog. Thankfully my route was mostly pretty sheltered. Bluebird skies, very pretty today.

16km for me today- dropped the car off for an oil change and went for a run. When I got back after the first 10km they hadn't even started it yet, so I went out for another 6. Mostly on trails, with a bit of bushwhacking & climbing, and just a little bit of road and icy/ snowy sidewalks.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Ended up doing 13k, it was actually quite nice out so I had lots of extra clothes.

Yes it is much warmer here today but man now the wind! Sun is shining so not complaining. Hour spin class done this morning, this afternoon's plan cleaning out horse stalls after them being barn bound the last 3 days!

Impressive!

I did 5 km on the treadmill while my DD played downstairs...we had two toddler fueled interruptions when certain toys just *had* to be acquired from upstairs at that moment!

Big mental workout: 15 laps on the unplowed trail around the lake for 34K total in the bitter cold (-25 WC -37). Mother nature can bite me.

19.5 in 2hrs. Trail 71 counter clockwise, up trail 70 past Healy cabin to Cafferty cabin, then return. Trail 71 is crazy steep, I was pulling myself up by branches/trees what ever I could get my hands on. The up is hard, the down is insane, more of a pray I didn't slip on the packed snow/ice because they'd be airlifting me out :) ...that was so fun I'm going to do it again tomorrow.

57K today at Run4RKids 6 hour indoor event. Nice to see Ron, Chris, Christa and some others on the track. All very supportive and encouraging! Super pleased with how this went. Maintained a pretty even pace for most of the 6 hours (except for pee break at 3 hours and lunch break at 4 Hours). Got a small side stitch after the sandwich so walked most of one lap.

Just under 5k at WARP (Winter Average Running Pace). It's still solid ice on the streets, but I was happy to note that my legs seem to be adapting to this kind of running. I was also happy because the temperature pulled itself all the way up to -9: positively balmy!

Awesome work Robin!! I ran 11km inside on the TM - too cold for me outside! Followed by an hour of core and strength with my trainer. Followed by 2 hours of housework :)

Impressive Robin!! :D

I ran, I ran! 2 miles in 25 mins but since I haven't run much in the last month nothing very surprising there. Looking forward to getting back on track in 2014!

8 miles done. I wanted easy so I ran down to the west van sea wall, which was packed with people, bumped into a running buddy there ( though she wasn't running). Finished at park royal for Starbucks, now on the bus home!

Congrats, Robin!

Did another 20min on the spin bike while DH was on the TM. My legs are feeling pleasantly tired.
