Beautiful morning here- a relatively balmy -5 with light snow this morning. Did 12km- up to the conservation area and then around the trails there with my headlight.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

TGIF! Had to deal with more snow than we expected this morning, so was a bit late getting to the gym and only had time for a fast 10 km on the TM. It was a combination of race pace, speed work and progression, so a pretty demanding workout. Now a demanding workday, but going out after work tonight so that will be good. Have a great day (and better weekend!) everyone. :)

rest day for me. the bit of extra sleep was nice, and I know my body needs it, but I'm always so jealous when I drive by runners on days when I haven't run!

I had a great swim class last night - I was the only one there, so got lots of attention! 1800m total, and my shoulders are feeling a little stiff this morning. I never got around to running again, but that's not a big deal. 10k done this morning.

Friday spin will be done at lunch. I notice a trend that I have been biking more than running lately - about 4 bike sessions per week and 3 runs. Must be this crappy weather!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

5K on the basement pathway system...it's only about a metre long. Did each K faster than the last and made it through.

I woke up this morning with a sore lower back. I figured a short 8km run would cure the problem. That didn't work, so I did a shoulders and legs workout!
All finished, my back is still a little sore but not as bad as it was this morning. :)

First tempo run of the year for me. 8km around Stanley Park. Got my run finished before it started raining.
