Own the Podium Tuesday
Still on top of the medal standings!!
I went to the gym and ran before work (5K). If all goes well, I'll go to spin class tonight.

Re: Own the Podium Tuesday
Started the day with 8 miles on the TM. It was the toughest speed/progression workout that I've done for a while but once it was over it felt good to have put in the effort! Belly dance class tonight. I notice my right hip is feeling a little "off" so I need to remember to spend a few minutes stretching it out once I get home this evening. Actually, now that I think about it, it's been several months since I've had either a massage or an ART session, so probably I should try and book one for next week. Probably due for a general "tune-up".
Have a great day, everyone.

Re: Own the Podium Tuesday
rest day for me.
I woke up in the middle of the night with VERY sore glands on one side of my neck... not swollen, just painful. Not sure what that's about (maybe fighting a bug?!).

7:00 came very quickly after an amazing Imagine Dragons concert last night. I'd see them again in a heartbeat.
Later today I'll do about 13k.

4 miles on the treadmill for me today. I enjoy watching the Olympics while I run. It made me run longer today.

Watching XC skiing (especially the sprint races this morning) makes me run faster. Watching curling (what was on the other channel while I was at the gym), not so much.

my legs are apparently tired from the weekend.
The building fire alarm went off. We're on the 6th floor (I know, not as bad as some!) so down the stairs we went... but the elevators are still frozen so we also had to take the stairs back up. My legs were burning! lol

Back from vacation (which was very relaxing) and back to the gym today. An hour with my personal trainer. Lots of lunges, weighted squats and shoulder work. Finished it off with planks. Felt great! Looking forward to my first run in a week tomorrow

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

I did 13k in 1:19 on the seawall. I was going to go to the gym and watch Olympics while on the treadmill, but it was too nice out for that.

Own the Podium Tuesday
Jesse, I am so amazed... Butterfly seems ridiculously hard to start with, let alone pregnant!! Good job!!
I ran just over 6km today- just under 3 at 5:28 to warm up and 3.4 at 4:35! Woohoo! I was pleasantly surprised to see I had gone that fast and it was one good example of a time when if I had a garmin, I would've psyched myself out and not run as fast.

Soggy 3km tonight. I'm still feeling crappy so I bailed on clinic homework when it turned out the leaders outnumbered participants. Fingers crossed I'm feeling better by Thursday.

Re: Own the Podium Tuesday
I did a short 5km on the tm. I had planned on a warmup run on the tm and going for a longer run outside but my friend and I go our timings mixed up.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!
