Question for Toronto people

Postby NoQuit » Thu May 29, 2014 12:26 pm

Hello everyone!

I'm staying in Toronto for 5 days, staying near Bloor West and Avenue Rd. (Right by the ROM)

Looking for running routes away from traffic - is my best bet to zip down to the waterfront? I've never been down there, is it a pleasant area for a run?

I'm looking to do anywhere from 10-15k and if time allows I might go for a 25k. Shaded is always a bonus. :-)

Advice?
TIA!
-Phil

You could also run north (it's quite the hill up Avenue Rd.) to the Beltline trail and then go west from there.

There's a lot of construction on the waterfront right now and it's just as far to run down there from Bloor as it would be to run north to the Beltline (3.6K north).

I think you are about 2 miles from either the Beltline trail to the north, Don Valley to the east or the waterfront on the south.

Lots of options that are fairly close to you.

This may be a bit late, but if you google your way to a street called Boulton (not far), on the west side is a park entrance to the Cedarvale Ravine. There is a path there that goes almost to Eglinton (and connects to the BeltLine via side streets).
The road to hell is paved. Run trails.
