Not Rainy Thurs

Postby erinmcd » Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:02 am

A lovely cool morning here today.

14km done this morning, with 2x5km tempo.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

10K kind of mixed up. 8.5K - 8 Hill repeats, easy jog, stop for some squats, lunges, pushups and box jumps in the cemetery (I know - crazy place to work out, but they have some great benches and stuff for it). Further 1.5K cool down home. Felt awesome!

Wished I was running this morning but had dinner too late last night for that to be a good idea. Instead, 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by a few upper body weights. Busy day at work so that's it from me.

I RAN! Yes! :D First run since my groin injury on June 23rd and my sinus/eye infection combo of the last 2 weeks. It feels really good to run again. I'm taking it really slow to see how it goes, ran/walk 2:30/2:30 today for 30 mins.

Joined my wife for an hour of yoga down by Harbourfront and then stuffed in a 5.5 km run after. Boy, when did yoga get so hard? I couldn't even do a shoulder stand! How embarrassing.

Not raining for my morning 10k, but I went out for another 10k tonight in the drizzle. After all the hot weather, a cool and damp evening was fantastic.

It's been sort of raining on and off, and super muggy and warm... but tonight's run was still better than my last (which was a week ago!). 6 miles with runpub and checked out a new-to-me place that I really liked except it was quite cold in there and the server wasn't terribly attentive given that it wasn't that busy. But I liked the atmosphere and I'm told the food is great (I didn't eat there tonight).
