Sore Monday

Postby erinmcd » Mon Sep 15, 2014 7:15 am

Good morning all!

I'm taking a couple of days of rest. I ran in the UT Harricana 65k on Saturday and I need a few days of recovery before I run again.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Congrats!

I am sore from running 10 miles on concrete sidewalks. I tend to run on ashphalt/gravel trails but due to the lateness of my run last night, I stuck to the well lit main streets in may area, resulting in 10 miles on sidewalks.

My legs were not happy with me when I went to bed last night

I love when I have a rest day scheduled and I wasn't really planning on it but then I get busy so I don't have to feel bad about not running.

Rest day for me, coupled with re energizing over a couple of beers tonight for a friend's birthday

Ran to and from yoga today and when I got home my Beat the Blerch virtual race kit had arrived complete with cupcake flavoured lip balm and a squishy blerch toy to work out my stresses and frustrations.

A nothing-remarkable 4k run on the high school gravel path.

Last week: snow. This week: mid 20s sunshine. Monday speedwork with the XC team: 5 x ( 1min fast, 1min easy, 2min fast, 2min easy ) + WU/CD for 13K. The engine was definitely short a few horses today but I got through the workout in one piece.
