Frosty Friday

Postby erinmcd » Fri Sep 19, 2014 7:14 am

It was a chilly one this morning- right around freezing when I headed out this morning.

Legs are still a bit heavy, so I'm taking it easy. Headed up to the local conservation area with the dog, and did an hour on roads and trails.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I ran to work again for 14.3, somehow ended up with 99-100kms for the week on 6 days.

I was soo hungry I almost stopped after 5k at the 1st subway but then my stomach started to cool down and I got into the grove.

Back from two weeks in Nova Scotia, which included a car accident and getting married! I'm guiding a friend that is blind on Sunday, we're walking the Army Run 1/2.

Looking forward to getting back into the groove after the last two weeks.

Congratulations on your wedding. Not so good about the car accident, hope you're OK. And cool about guiding your friend.

Haven't run since Monday - still fighting this miserable cold. Picked up my race kit this morning and hoping it comes with magical healing powers!

Try Buckleys Cold capsules, I had a near miraculous 27k run on Sunday with a bit of medication assistance.

I love Buckleys gel caps when I have a cold. They are the best!

Now that that's out of the way, I did 5K in the greenbelt today :)

thanks for the recommendation! I'm nursing, so I'm trying to avoid drugs, but I did pick up some tylenol cold and sinus in case I really need it on race morning. When I played rugby in university and was subject to drug testing, I had to avoid everything with pseudoephedrine, so perhaps it's performance enhancing benefits will be handy!
