Soggy Saturday

Postby marymac442 » Sat Mar 14, 2015 8:25 am

I am trying to work up some ambition for the day to come.
The plan for today is a 29k run in the rain to be followed by a 90 minutes paddle in the rain ... woohoo!?!

St. Patty's Day 5K race for me this morning. Felt great and was really happy with my pacing. I averaged 5:54 which is 11 seconds per KM quicker than I ran last year at the same race. Heck, I even had a negative split, LOL.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Early morning 25K. That counts for a long run these days.

16k on my basement treadmill. Nice temperature at 21C, but wind warning with gusts up to 110 km/h.

Good job all, esp NMG. :)
I was planning to do a race this morning! I had seen one mentioned that was to take place on the waterfront, but when we got down there, we saw no sign of any runners or a race. Boooo, I guess it was only tentatively planned, or maybe cancelled. Anyway, I did a 5k time trial anyway and ran my pb time! To the second, haha! I feel very good about this especially at this point in the year. Although I don't have much time in the mornings to run, 40 min or so max, the workouts are paying off.

I've had dreams like that - show up for a race that wasn't happening. Except I ran through buildings instead of doing a time trial. :) Nicely done!
