Steamy Saturday

Postby Ken B » Sat May 30, 2015 10:56 am

What no Saturday thread yet?
It is really too steamy but it is hot in the K-W area. I was out for a 2 1/4 hour half marathon training run this morning.

Steamy is right. I did an outside fast run early this morning. 9 miles in 1h43min. Then met some friends. Then lost a chunk of money at The Academy as I tried on a pair of Saucony ISO and they felt really good in the arch area where I have so much trouble. I will do an indoor workout later.

Since I did my long run yesterday, I got up this morning, walked the dog, ate a canteloupe, and went back to sleep.

No run today, but I will tomorrow because I am only 13km away from 250km for the month of May. :)

It wasn't steamy here. It was foggy and misty this morning and +12 so we went for a 24 km bike ride on the trails. Then the sun came out after lunch, so we were pulling dandelions. Not fun. My shoulder is aching from it now.

12k early then a colorful 5k with some workmates at Color me Rad. We took my white dog. He is now yellow. Just from hanging at the finish. Bath time

Off day today. I might go out to Gatineau park tomorrow for some trails and hills fun. Supposed to be cooler also so I will probably do a long one.

Steamy here but we kept a bit cooler on our group run as we ran on the trails under tree cover. Tough slog for me for the whole 12K. Some days it feels good, other days not....

I'm easing back into some light activity (slightly more than walking). Today I walked to the gym and back, and when there did 20 min of stationary cycling. It felt good. :)

Nice 20k here, supposedly it was 88% humidity but it didn't feel that bad to me. We were able to keep to the shade and there was a nice breeze so that made it really pleasant.

Did the Wellington Women's "Half a Half" yesterday...with a friend who is injured so we ran a bit and walked a lot.
Very humid and hot!
